in the garage is much better bobby. that plastic sure won't help much against flyin foreign objects .

As of 11:00 A.M. Sunday, my vehicle sat outdoors through the worst part of the bad weather. It (the hurricane or tropical storm) hit us about 10:00 P.M. last night and I worried about it all night. In the metro D.C. area, downed trees, branches, and power lines was about the extent of the damage, along with flooding in low lying areas. I tried to park in a place where getting hit with debris from flying objects would be as minimal as I could try to make it. I don't have a garage, so coming out of it the way I did makes me feel truly blessed, and I'm thankful. I hope all of you AGer's out there came out OK.

In 04 when we had 4 hurricanes hit our state (3 of which crossed central florida)
Hurricane Charlie was the first storm... I pulled one of our cars into the garage to keep it safe. Well, that night a pine tree from my neighbors yard came through the roof. As I opened the door to the garage I found one of the branches that had pierced the roof (about 8" in dia.) was just inches from going through the windshield. Very blessed it didn't... The car that was parked outside ended up being safer than inside!

If the driver is in Florida, he will find all sorts of amphibians hiding in there when he goes to remove that plastic!

I put up the hurricane shutters a few years ago and when removing them, I found lizards and frogs hangin' out and waitin' out the storm together

In the garage is where I want it, because of hail that sometimes comes with a hurricane. But don't forget to brace your garage door to keep it from blowing in. There isn't much you can do if a tree falls. I'll take my chances inside.

im definitely going to do tie a rope to my rim onto a rod next time! Forget about the garage and plastic bubbles! just tie it to a rod! :dblthumb2:
