The side door trim on my Jeep is gray and ugly. I tried a turtle wax product that did add some life back into the trim, but attracted more dirt than anything. I ordered Forever Black from AG, but it just sat on top the plastic and did not penetrate, despite thoroughly cleaning prior to application. So, I decided to remove the trim and paint it with something like colorbond. However, now that it's off, I'm starting to think it looks better.

Which pictures do you think look better, those with or without side door trim?

Thanks!

I don't know...I kinda like the trim. But I also don't dislike the look without it. Could go either way if you ask me.

I feel the same way... But, I can't really decide. I haven't taken the other side off yet. I'm also wondering how it would look if I painted the trim the same color as the Jeep, instead of black.

One thing I like about the trim is the protection it offers against others opening their doors into mine.

I don't think painting it the same color will look good IMO. If anything I would paint them black.

The trim does provide protection but I agree, it looks better without it...

Aside from the protection, to me it just doesn't look like the Sport model bare, more like a lower priced one.

I Have to say I like it without the trim,BUT the trim treated with uttg might look better..... Just thinking here( which could be dangerous).

Thanks, everyone! I'm going to take off and clean the other side this morning. Then do a detail on the Jeep.
