I pre-ordered the iPhone 4GS....

I ordered one for myself, and one for my girlfriend. We both have 2 yr old 3GS now, and I ordered a 32GB Black, and she will be getting the 16GB white. We were holding out for the iphone 5, but we are tired of waiting for it! Not real concerned about the 4S not having LTE/4GS like the 5 will have. We don't have any coverage issues in Indy with AT&T, so we will be keeping their service. New camera is a monster! 8MP stills with 1080p video!

Thanks. Guess I'll head on down to Sprint in December when my contract is up and see what they offer. Was thinking of switching to Verizon and also picking up a ipad3. Who offers the best plans for this combo ? I know the ipad3 won't be out till after the first of the year.

Nice !!! I just updated my ITunes tonight and am waiting for IOS 5 tomorrow. Can't wait !!!!
 
I will be ordering one for myself and my girlfriend. I've had a 3G since they came out, had water damage about 2 weeks before the 4 came out and had to get a new 3G. AT&T wouldn't let me return it for the 4. So this time around i'm getting the 4S.
 
I thought I heard today there was a problem releasing the phone and it won't be available for a while?
 
I'm gonna hang on to my 3GS for a while yet. We'll see what the IOS5 update brings...

Only thing I have heard is there were so many pre-orders that if you bought any size on Verizon, or the 16GB on AT&T or Sprint, and you did not order by 6pm on the first day your phone will arrive a week or two late.

DON'T EVER switch to the Droid. That things a piece of ish. I had so many problems with that phone that I did whatever possible to get out of it. Finally after the third time calling in to complain and after getting sent a replacement Droid, they put me in the HTC Trophy-Windows based phone. I really like this phone. The plan was to have this to hold me down until the iPhone comes out. But I honestly feel that this HTC can compete with the iPhone. Its simple, yet powerful. Its a sleeper for sure. The Droid had force closures, non responsive, random ghost emails from back before the time of email. I had to ALWAYS pull the battery. That thing SUCKS
 
well from all the test I think I'll be switching to a iPhone 4S. I'm disappointed since it doesn't have 4G but whatever.

I've had my Droid since launch and I've had issues with it. While I agree with you I don't think its a "POS" but its not for the avg public user out their. Seriously one of thee BEST phone OS on the market if you're a tinker. If you're just a go with the flow type the iOS/Win7Mobile is more for you.

Whew, happy I jumped on the 32. I'm new to the whole preorder thing. Does it mean they're supposed to ship by Friday, or they're actually trying to get it to you by Friday?

I did quite a bit of research on this, and for Verizon, it will arrive on Friday (as long as you were early in ordering). Check the status page for the pre-order and it should state 'arriving on/before 10/14'.

When did you preorder and where? Online says it won't ship if you order today till the 10-27-11.
 
Well for some people they're already getting msg that its been shipped. But thats Verizon and they preorderd right when it went up.
