Pictures or Youtube?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Which do you prefer when viewing someones work?

I prefer to watch an entertaining and informative video. I personally think pictures are boring.

Not that anyone had any question about what I prefer. :buffing:

I like both methods. I like to watch a detail being performed on video but I like to see 50/50 before and after photos

Garry,

I wouldn't want you posting anything but Youtube. Your videos are more instructional then just showing a quick before and after. You my friend are excluded from this pole :)

Videos are informative and usually interesting to watch but the pictures show a lot more close-up detail and great 50/50 shots. I think both have their place. Now if I could just quit procrastinating and learn how to post both I would be a happy camper.

Youtube is great for showing process. But, not high enough quality to show "detail"...which is what this forum is about.

I don't mind either one. I do like watching videos more though.

I'm ok with either method but I prefer looking at pictures.

I also enjoy both. To be honest, if I open a before & after thread and there is only video I often just hit the back button. I'd rather see pics over video for before & after threads. If it's an instructional write up I would rather see video.

Just my $.02

I prefer pics. Do to the secure nature of my work environment, we are not allowed to access videos and/or you tube.

I prefer pictures. Defects never seem to show up as well on video as they do in pictures. It's also much quicker to flip thru a series of pictures versus watching a 10 minute video.

I stick with video only when watching a process and learning how something is done.

I agree with this part:iagree:

But for instructional, videos help more than pictures sometimes.

They both have their place, but for "show n shines" or before/afters of sections, I much prefer pictures.

I prefer pictures, I think they can show a more dramatic "view" of the vehicles condition but I do think videos of the process that was used are really nice.

I guess it depends what I'm viewing. When it comes to appreciating the before and after of a vehicle being detailed...I'm more partial to photos. I just think videos scroll past parts or positions that I'd like to view the vehicle in a little longer. Sure I could pause it...but video isn't as clear.

But, when reviewing a product or anything like that...it's video for sure.

I prefer pictures for before and after shots. They can show the detail of the vehicle so much better than a video sometimes.

Videos are nice, but only if they are some what interesting or are explaining a process being shown.
