Last Sunday I detailed a basque red TL. It needed and exterior and interior detail. The last time I detailed it was about 6 months ago. The interior had lots of dirt and sand in-between seats. The outside seen better days. It snowed recently and the car had sand/salt because of it.

Interior products
OPC 3:1
MF
Vacuum
Brushes
Meguair's glass cleaner

Exterior products
OPC 3:1
Foam canon
Power washer
Varieties brushes
Meguair's wheel brighter
Leaf blower
MF
Claybar
Griot's polisher
Ultimate compound
Collinite 845
Orange flats, blue flats
IPA
Detail spray
Pinnacle black Onyx tire gel

Now here are some pictures.
I started inside first, vacuumed everything and wipe down interior. Made sure to blowed out dirt from under the seats.

The exterior needed a lot of attention, last time it was detailed was about 6 months ago. And it recently snowed so there was a lot of sand/salt from the road.

Looks fantastic! Black Onyx is my 2nd favorite tire product right behind Opti-bond. Black Onyx slings a little for me :(

Now that car was trashed in just 6 months...

Car looks absolutely amazing now...Spectacular job!!!!!!!

Do you know anyone that does great hand pinstriping in New Jersey??? I'm in North Jersey...Bergen County to be exact...Thanks...John

wwwwwwwooooooooowwww they trashed that car! You did an awesome job on that thing.

I wouldn't have even gotten into that car after seeing whatever that was squished into the drivers seat!

What an amazing turn around. That car looks like brand new!

Was the driver either a teenage girl that works at Cinnibun or a woman in advertising?

Very nice. Love the color. I'd be teaching someone how to get out of a car without kicking the panels.

People are nasty...just sayin.

You did a great job on that slobs car.

Awesome job detailing the TL. Keep up the great work.

Wow, you did a great job!!! Why have something that nice if your just going to trash it?

Nice turn around Gary. The gloss in the after pictures is awesome. Also, I love how the interior looks factory fresh and not all greased up with shiny products. The leather and panels look how they should.

Gary,

I can't believe anyone would trash such a gorgeous car but thank God they brought it to you so that you could rightfully restore it to it's new like condition...... Simply awesome!! :dblthumb2:

Looks great Gary!! Nice job!

Thanks Marc!

I never had trouble with Black Onyx because I apply it very thin. But I gotten a sample Opti-bond, and I really like how it looks on my tires.

Thanks John, when I worked at Lexus I remember there was a pin striping guy who came and did their cars. I would have to look for his card, but I will let you know.

Yeah the inside took me 2 hours for vac and wipe down. Lots of sand in-between the seats. The outside didn't do much corrections.

Thanks! I quoted him a price before I got their, but when I saw the car I . I didn't charge extra because I thought I can still get it done before it got dark. Took me about 9 hours total for in and out.

Very nice. Love the color. I'd be teaching someone how to get out of a car without kicking the panels.

Haha. Thanks, yeah those doors were all beating up.

People are nasty...just sayin.

Thanks! Yeah he has a dog that he brings to the beach every week. Lots of sand build up everywhere.

Awesome job detailing the TL. Keep up the great work.

Thanks Bobby! :xyxthumbs:

Yeah I was surprise to see the car in that condition because 6 months ago I left it the same as this detail.

Thanks Stephan. :xyxthumbs: 845 always does the trick. :)

Thanks again Bobby! The car came out looking nice, but there were still lots of swirls on the car. I took out most of the scratches he wanted removed though.

Nice job. The interior was especially bad.

Thanks! I have seen a lot worst at the dealership. But its always fun to tackle the nasty interiors.

Did you use OPC(3:1) on the leather? And the leather looked that good afterwards with no type of protectant applied?
Nice work and congrats on a return client. Looks like they need to be on a monthly maintenance plan with you.:D
That after six months is nothing.(not bragging) I had a client with a VW Rabbit that she uses for her mom's Pug rescue and it looked like she hauled around mini ponies instead of Pugs. Less than a month later it was half way back to when I first detailed it; looked like she had only been hauling Pugs, not ponies.LOL So, yeah, people can be pretty nasty to nice cars.

Yeah 3:1 works fine on leather, just make sure you don't let it run. Yeah the leather looks very natural.

I don't know how some people would drive a car that dirty. I don't allow my dogs in my TSX for that one reason.
