Chemical Guys Hybrid V7 - It's Here and it Impresses

Never had Blackfire attract any bugs to my car...

What exactly do you mean by that? Do you walk outside in the morning and have to brush the bugs off of your door handle so you can get into the car?
Just as I'm spraying it and applying it bugs get attracted like crazy to the car, enough where it's a noticeable change. It doesn't last past application, just more of an annoyance during applying.

You mean poly spray?

If so I agree both are great and hard to beat! V7 has a little more QD aspect to it IMO though. Poly Spray is the business after a wash!!!!!!!:dblthumb2:

Yes, just didn't feel like writing the whole name, I give the edge on the name to V-7 :xyxthumbs:

This is a great product and a home run for CG. I buy it by the gallon and use it on all of my customers vehicles. A close second to DDJ Red Mist and certainly more cost effective. Cheers!

Hey Nick ya might be on to something here with V07. Pretty darn good stuff. Buy it by the gallon and use often but don't tell anyone or the words gonna get out.

Been using the V07 / Blacklight combo on my last few details. My customers are very happy with the results!!

Please, someone tell us about the durability of the V7. Two weeks? One month? 6 months?........ give us something, please :)

its a glorified QD, 2-3 weeks tops. Durability tests and comments many places, just search:dblthumb2:

I applied Colonite 845 first then applied V7. Was that in the correct order or does it not matter what goes on 1st? What about down the line? Can I use either on top of each other depending on my mood and permitted time?

Yes, if you follow the most-durable-product-goes-on-first practice. Collinite #845 is a very durable wax and Hybrid V7 is just that--a hybrid quick detailer combined with a sealant for protection.

Can someon tell me what "flashing" means?

Flashing = a visible "flash" of product before the liquid component evaporates. It's a fancy word for wet-product-on-the-surface-before-it-rapidly-dries-and-I-can't-"see"-it-anymore.

Great to know about it.But i,m not using it.But you showing its results in the pictures.I hope its good paint sealant and provide a better shine to the car.I like this invention by Auto geek. Its really healthful for the cars.

This hurt my brain.

Are you guys using this as a detail spray to get up light dirt and dust? Or is this meant to be used after a wash to give protection in between waxing?

Lots of people go a bit wild with a quick detailer and end up creating tons of swirl marks. I use it after I wash my car or if I drive to a local car show. My cobra is a weekend car so at times I don't even drive it for a week after I wash it. so I use it just to take off very light dust.

Maybe I got a bad batch of v7, but lately its been very poor. It leaves a film all over the car and windows, and its even hard to buff out. I have used v7 in the past and I love it. But these past two bottles really didn't impress me. I have no idea if they changed there formula but the results are horrible. I will finish up what I have and try again

I got my first bottle this past Monday and tried it on my daily , good thing too . It will not be going anywhere near my Cobra , it's being listed to trade .I agree w/ Stangfreak on that it Takes waaaay to many wipes to remove it . For my likening anyway on Black . Super thick ,super streaky . I'll stick with WGIDS for the rare QDing I do anymore , talk about fast flash and easy on the paint ..

I have used it once recently and really did not have that many issues with it. I had put my sample in a smaller sampler bottle with an atomizing spray. This may account for differences other have seen. The scent is addicting and actually after a few weeks is fairly durable so it is already in the spray wax durability column.
