You Know You're An Autogeek When...

When in the kitchen, you fold the paper towels in four and tell your wife this is how you should use do it.

P@

You tell your friends the exact steps you would take to detail their car and they just laugh and say they can take it to the car wash for $5.

You know you're an Autogeek when...

...you're walking through a parking lot and you spot a car and you think about the process you'd go through to detail that car.

You know you're an Autogeek when...

...You refuse to clear your Internet Explorer cache because you have a cart full of products and don't want to lose it.

Make a bookmark folder called AG-Order, with the items you want to get.
Easy to export to hmtl for backup purpose.
Also have a bookmark folder called AG-Orders Completed to pair up with the PDF of the orders.

I find this quite easy, that way I can think.. Do I really want to buy that ( and go check for new reviews on it, and find 5 other things I can't live without ).

When it is time to order, open the folder and Firefox has an open all in tabs option at the bottom of the folder list. Bang, all pages open ready for add Qty.

When you have knee surgery in 14 hours and you decide washing, claying, and some wax sounds like a pretty good idea.

When you cant drive for a week because of knee surgery, so you do the above process so the car can sit pretty in the garage for a week!

I had my left hip replaced on TUE 10-11-11, and that weekend prior I detailed the truck, car and changed the oil on the truck. This way I was good to go.

good luck with the knee, those are a real PITA to recover from. Friend just had both partially replaced, and his recovery was much longer than my hip was ( I was driving at ~ 2.5 weeks )

Your wife says, "Hey honey, the baby's finally asleep ;)" and you reply with ," Great! I can finally go respond to those threads on AG!"

Damn Birds!!

This is a good one!! Once I am in the hunt for a house, driveway size and garage size are on my list of must haves!!

I'll add a few here even though I'm on the newer side of truly understanding most of this:

You know your an autogeek when:
...you tell your mom, dad, two brothers, sister-in-law, future mother-in-law and fiancee to not wash or clean their cars in any way and that you will do it for free and/or really cheap just so you can get a good Before/After portfolio going.

.... You tell your dad you will help him fully clean out the garage that has no available space right now because of all the junk in it, with the only rule being you get a spot of the garage with a few shelves for all your detailing supplies in order to keep them clean.

...You become mildly depressed because after being on AG for a couple weeks, you realize how swirled your Navy Blue Matrix really is and you have to wait two months for your birthday in order to more easily get to PC XP7424 DA polisher to get started on paint corrections.

...You just placed your first order with AG last night and already secretly hoped it was at work waiting for you the next morning even though it wouldn't be.

...You look forward to going to work because that's the shipping address for you AG order!!

I love this thread.:dblthumb2:

Great posts cash!!!!

You know you're an Autogeek when...

Your 2 year old gets as worked up as you when there's bird poop on your car! Daddy car dirty, daddy car poop, daddy car needs wash! :)

...When your friend starts helping you wash a car and you run over and take whatever is in their hands away.

I had to do this on a car this week. I tried to break it to him as nicely as I could, but I couldn't take watching what was happening.

Plus he was paying me to clean his car, so I couldn't figure out why he was doing anything.

You know youre a autogeek when.....

You go to the restroom at your job and the stainless steel faucet has swirls on it and it bothers you. Then when you get back to your office you think of ways to take them out.

HA ! I'm tracking my order on UPS .com right now

...When your 6 year old daughter and 10 year old son point out swirled vehicles in traffic. In addition they both know the 2 bucket method, and my daughter used the two bucket method while cleaning her bike!

when you take evasive maneuvers (if you can) on the road to avoid the car in front of you using their windshield washer (overspray).

YUP!! I do this all the time!

What you need is a large garage with a small attached house. :xyxthumbs:

hahahaha. That may prove difficult to convince the future Mrs. of lol.

Actually, it's kind of known, but my fiancee is an only child, so we both know her mom is going to leave her house to us. And what is in the back yard you ask? A 4 car garage, that's what!! Not that I'm rushing her to "officially" pass it of to us, I'm pretty much allowed to use it whenever I want to anyways. :props:

haha good man!! How do you track your package? Like what number is it in the email? I got the "thanks for your order" email with two numbers, but don't know where to go from there.

O and to keep this thread going:
You know your an Autogeek when you talk about starting up your detailing side business and the tools you need so much, your dad texts you to ask what size and type of vacuum you are looking for because he's running errands and will keep an eye out for good deals. Lol.

I hate that so much..... my friends say I drive like an old man cause I leave about 4 car lengths in front of me
