Wally World stepping up.....

^
Ha, you know i actually attended that session as well, so you there too Setec?

EDIT: was just looking at the pics on the Meg's forum...forgot what everyone looked like...especially that guy that looked like Beavis after he took the no-doze...

Uh oh...I hope you're not that guy who looked like Beavis! IIRC he was a police cadet, which is the wrong kind of guy to have mad at you 8 years later...

That would be good when the weather gets good, where would this be?

Its in Dayton, it's about 15 minutes from Rt 18.

I don't blame him, I wouldn't want a bunch of strangers around my place either. Just go to the Meg's forum and search on "Piscataway" and you'll get the advanced class from 2005 too.

Thanks! Looked like a great turn out. I don't know why he made it sound like it was a waste of time.

For those interested, Michael Stoops has posted a list of Walmarts that have the pro series products at MOL.

Probably because even if a bunch of people bought stuff from him that day, they probably never did again (ordered it on the internet). As you noted, he does a lot of bulk sales, up to 55 gal drums for dealers, body shops, car washes...so those are probably the customers he wants. Funny thing is, before the internet, he probably would have gotten a bunch new customers from doing this, but not now. Mail order catalogs and then the internet killed a lot of specialty brick-&-mortar stores.

EDIT: I guess I wasn't remembering things right, I was at the event in 2004, and I guess they did another in 2005, and then an advanced in 2006. I guess we can't be too hard on Mark, he did it 3 years in a row.

I checked both Walmart stores near me and neither had the stuff I was looking for. AZ does have it though.

What is MOL and where can I find it?

Edit: I think I figured it out and my local walmarts are not on the list.

The Walmart in Coral Springs had a nice assortment of the new Megs professional line. Didnt notice a real price difference and seemed like several things were missing to make line complete, I might still suggest buying online where you can get the complete and exact combo wanted/needed.

Went to MOL (thanks, 2old2change). Nothing close by Columbus. From the list you'd think Cleveland was a big area for detailing.

Looks like a walmart near me carries it according to Michael Stoops posting on autogeek.

Scott- I would rather give you guys my money than walmart, and I believe the rest of us feel that way as well.

I think so many of us are intrigued by this due to it being.. well.. walmart lol. If anything, I will go to walmart to see the products in person, then drive back home and order from you guys. :props:

I can't find where the list is at. I live in Cleveland and Would like to go to one of the stores if they have it. Thanks

Just go to MOL and type "walmart" in the search box, the list is on the second page of the thread.

So after I read this thread two days ago, I happened upon a Walmart here in Richmond VA and freaked out when I saw that they had the MF system, 5in MF cut and polish pads ($18.99), D300(16oz), D301(16oz), and M105(32oz) ($19.99). Lets see how long they will stay in stock. I assume nobody really know how to use this system if they are not car enthusiasts or on forums like AG and MOL.
Pretty cool though.

in the detailing products. Had to stop in there today and naturally I HAVE to run down the detailing Isle to have a look(after all I am an Autogeek).

Got a shock when I turned the corner the whole Isle had been revamped and they are now carrying some megs mf da products and some Mirror glaze products.

105/205 32oz
D300/301 16oz
#2,3,6,7,26
mf cutting/polishing pads 5inch
5in bp
wool pads ,soft buff pads (these were not in stock yet,but the slot was there)
megs da polisher

Price points are right in line with Ag's current pricing, except the da polisher(about $30 bucks more at walmart)

just thought I'd share with you guys!

This will give me a reason to to do some investigating!!

Thanks Tim!! :props:

Are you saying that they have quarts of M-105 for $19.99?

I was pretty sure it was the m105 because they had the label right under it, and there was no M205 in sight. But perhaps I should read the label to make sure it was for the M105. I was to excited to even read stuff.

I found Meguiar's products at Auto Zone and Griotts Garage at Advanced Auto Parts.

The Meguiar's prices were

Meguiar's 105 32oz $31.99

205 32oz $24.99

#9 swirl remover 2.0 16oz $10.99

Show car glaze #7 16oz $12.49

Hitech wax #26 16oz $12.99

I haven't checked but these all seem higher than AG. Spiney
