How do you guys stay comfortable?

Im hardcore old school - knees on pavement, polish while bent over, tippy toe polishing type of guy. Now I just hired a guy that is bringing a floral pillow to use for his knees :/ (he's 24) - with that said, I have no idea what to do :dunno:. He is a great worker that brings a floral pillow to work - Do I let him go? Do I ask him to get a more manly pillow? Or do I change our company's slogan to "B & B, the softest detailers in middle TN!" LOL - and deep down I know this man is smarter than me by bringing the pillow lol!

A floral pillow huh? Maybe he wants you to see his softer side......

Anthony, I got a good chuckle out of this!!

Craftsman roller stool for low areas/wheels, work platform for the roof. Wash/Rinse buckets in a plastic garden wagon for less bending and easier moving. It's not an ideal set-up, but better than no aids.

I almost always have the radio or cds playing, sometimes the Sirius. If it's too hot, I have a fan in the garage. I take a break when I feel like it, a drink when I feel like it, whether it's iced tea or something more potent.

Still looking for better ways that I can afford. The stools are around $30 at Sears. The Creep stool is a lot more, but has bigger casters and probably more padding. Since I'm on my second stool, I should have got the better one to start with. I've heard people use an office chair. It wouldn't work for me, but with a smooth floor and enough space, it might.

My creature comforts:
A/C in my garage
400 watt stereo
2 different rolling stools of different height and a rolling creeper
Cigars
Coffee

Four post lift for me.

Wash car, roof first, then raise lift, do doors and quarters, raise lift some more, do wheels and under body.
Same for polishing and waxing.
Lift goes up and down. I don't:nomore:

Bad back, bad heart, and lazy to boot.:xyxthumbs:

I'm a strange mix of new school and old school, ha. I get on the tippy toes, and polished bent over. But then again you'll also see me taping off, cord over the shoulder, and polishing small sections with my DA and MF pads. It's a good mix I believe.

That being said...I still have not found any use for a floral pillow, haha.

That seems perfect. Luckly I have a lifted truck, no crouching for me :)

I was using a cheap shop stool till it lost a coaster, now I just sit on the ground. A wide tool belt for a bottle of polish or was and towels - also keeps my back in line like a kidney belt. And a handful of no-name Robaxacet.

Cheap $4 foam kneepads from HD and rolling stool that I bought 3 years ago.

Nitrile gloves for hands throughout the detail.

29 Ltd on channel 17 for background noise and entertainment.
