steps you take using your flex 3401 to get finish back hologram free are.....Feed back please

use any type of polish or swirl remover on an orange pad or something with even less cut. DA will remove the holograms no matter what combo you use, even if you use a yellow with compound.

I too find this hard to believe...since it says it will remove 2500 grit sanding scratches

just try it man. why would i make that up? its not like I am paid by menzerna to go around spreading bs on the forums

Had some meguiars swirl free polish laying around so I ran my buffer over it with both polish and finishing foam pads...no swirls, yet didn't wipe finish down with alcohol so we will see later!

If I had a Flex 3401,I would definitely do final polishing step with it to ensure not even a faint hologram could be detected period!

I would suspect it's how you're finishing off the compounding stage. Work it well and there's very little left to correct per se, just amp it up. Check out my video on using M105 and a yellow B & S pad. Dampen the pad for sure and work it long enough with VERY little product and you'll be amazed at how well it finishes down. M205 will do it for all but the softest of paints after that.

Thank you for another great advice richy however many of us (including myself) are beginners with rotaries, so it'll take some time before we can finish like you did in the video.
