Anyon use Optimum cutting disc with D300?

If the Meg's pad cuts AND finishes better then it's a no brained even if they are less durable.

I agree, especially if they did get rid of the separation issue, which was the main reason I went with the Optimum pads.
 
Can you use megs cutting disk with the 3401 like the optimum disk?

Mark, I will be working on a black 2012 Kia Soul this weekend and have already planned a comparison between Optimum and Meguiar's cutting pads with D300. Also a comparison of Optimum polishing pad and Meguiar's finishing pad with Optimum Hyper Spray Polish. Machine of choice will be Griot's Garage ROP with Meg's W67DA backing plate.

Slight delay on my testing, after washing the car I had scheduled I found three places where the dealership burned the paint. They managed to burn the paint down to bare plastic! A-Pillars and front bumper. The car is only three months old too.

If someone would like to proceed with this, please do. My next scheduled car is a 1-step polish/seal in two weeks. Sorry to all, even though this was out of my control.
 
IME optimum mc finishing pads cuts close to megs mf cytting pads using m105 on both. But opt pads has a little grab
