So yesterday I was at the Subaru body shop having them install my spoiler that was supposed to be done before I picked up the car but they ordered the wrong mounting hardware. So anyway i went yesterday and had them do it and was sitting in the body shop lobby. So one guy was sitting next to me and he looked aggravated they brought his car around..had him go look at it and he came back in and said nope not taking to many buffer marks LOL. So then the real horror came about 30min later. A guy pulled up in his silver outback or something and asked the one writer inside who does all the writeups and buisness end of the body shop about he parked the car at a hospital other day and parking garage had water leaking on it and couldnt get off now. So this guy is like some rubbing compound will fix that he goes in the body shop and to my surprise he comes out with those blue disposable shop rags with compound on it and one to wipe away. He proceeds to rub it on this guys hood and looks like he was trying to saw down a tree I was watching with my eyes WIDE open thinking OMG thats gonna look like hell. Then my car they almost washed it even after I had the lady at the desk tell them DO NOT wash..caught them just as they were about to pull it in bay to wash. Sure glad i did or they woulda ruined my freshly buffed perfect paint on my brand new car. Anyway I just found it amusing on the lack of know how to detail a car at a body shop.
