I did another GT-R this weekend. It was also a day for teaching the owner how to care for their vehicle, so I wasn't able to get tons of pictures. I love working on these vehicles though, so I figured I would share the pictures I did get.

It was washed, clayed and deconded, then a one step correction was performed with the Megs MF Cutting Pad and Megs D301 Compound. This paint was rock hard, and this combo got out all the wash induced marring and finished perfectly. For protection it was treated with Autoglym HD Wax.

Again sorry for the lack of pictures and poor lighting, but I hope you still enjoy, Thanks!

Sweet looking car! It is always good to see a owner that wants to keep their car looking good properly. :xyxthumbs:

Nice job!!! The GT-R's looking sweet.

You meant D300 and not D301 right? This didn't leave any micro-marring or hazing?

Thanks!
Nice work!!!! You should change your company name from TLC detail to GT-R detail. lol. You are now Mr. GT-R
Thanks, lol! It would be catchy wouldn't it! Im the MAN
Nice! What DA did you use?
Thanks Mark. I used my trusty PCXP :dblthumb2:

Thanks man! I agree, it makes the job more fun knowing it will be cared for as it should be.

Thanks Marc! You're right, I mistyped, I meant D300. This paint was rock hard, and there was absolutly no hazing or marring left over after buffing. It fact if I had wanted to get all the defects out I would have had to step up to wool since the paint was so hard.

Great looking car.
Thanks!
Paint looks soaking wet! Nice job.
Thank you!

Damn Dave!!! Nice job for a one step correction! WHEW!!!

BTW...you got a sweet setup in the garage!

Thanks Alex, sadly, that is not my garage though. This detail was done at the customer's house.

One of my favorite cars looking soaking wet. Love it.
Great Job.

Great job! Though I think I remember other people claiming that the GTR's paint was really soft.

BEAUTIFUL! Nice work Dave. Gloss is really pronounced on a color that can be blandish sometimes.

Thanks. The Black and Red paints are super soft and tought to finish well, but the white, grey, silver, and pearl black are all hard as a rock.

Thanks Jimbo Jones! Glad I took your advice on the LSP! :dblthumb2:
