I work the section until it goes clean on the paint then wipe off the area with a quick mist of water and a MF towel to inspect my work.
What about the oils in 105..will water clean it up for inspection?
Actually at this point in a correction I have no doubt that there will be some very fine stuff that will be cleaned up with 205 in the next phase of the correction so what I am actually looking for is to see if the deeper scratches or defects have been removed. Water works just fine for that. After the 205 I either re wash the car entirely with a little degreaser mixed in with the Gold Class soap or I use a mixture of Film Buster glass cleaner and ONR as a final wipe down before applying an LSP.
