The most over-rated products?

I think its looks are decent enough. might not last 6 months but over 3 or 4 easy depending on what part of the year its applied. Is priced good and a little goes a long way so even more cost effective. Very easy to apply and pretty easy to remove for me. Doesnt stain trim. I jst really like using it and like the company.

You also just described nxt liquid wax and turtle wax. That can all be said about those as well. My point is that it gets too much praise for something that is just a little better then the OTC waxes. I don't hate the wax but it sure as h3ll not anything like wax should be.

I too am surprised to see ONR on that list. That is THE most versatile product out there. IMO, those folks who think lowly of it, simply don't know how to use it. Detailer, lube, conditioner for washes, list goes on. If anything, it's UNDERrated.

IMO, overrated? Easy. Blackfire sealant. See my review in another thread here. Lifeless looking, and dusty.

p.s. who said Swissvax was overrated? Please explain. Was thinking about trying this.

Im not getting into it and clogging up this thread, you enjoy using your turtle wax.

Looks up some of the cars I've posted write ups on, I don't think any of them look lifeless with Bfwd on them. The old stuff would dust a bit, but the new formula has taken care of that.

durability of waxes is the only thing that push me to coat my car with cquartz to end my addiction towards waxing my car once a month lol

once a month is too much for you?

holy moly.

I guess 1x or 2x a week of onr-ing and fk425ing and fuzionizing and souveraning and 50/50ing and blacklighting and V7ing is extreme for some people?

uh oh. I just described myself :P

Hey Flannigan...Yeah that's bizaare. I have the new BFWD too. But when I compared it to Jetseal, WGDGPS, Menz Poly, etc...(have you tried any of these to compare?) it definitely dusted more. And the look is just "ok" to me. I was looking for more pop and more wetness as I was led to believe. Now again, this is just my opinion, and I respect yours and others. Again, it's just not for me. (I didn't find it slick tho, esp on my Clear Bra :))

I just wanted to chime in on the topic of 845. I applied 845 to my red enclosed mobile detail trailer in July 2011 (I ordered it new). I cleaned the trailer and applied opti seal in March 2012. That's about 8 months!! Anybody who knows about enclosed trailers knows they will fade very quickly especially red. My trailer looks as red and glossy today as it did the day I brought it home and it sits outside year round. Just my .02. Not to hijack the thread. Thanks.

No problem. I've used all of the products you listed and BFWD and 4 star Sealant are my two favorites in terms of looks, ease of use, and durability. That said, 9 times out of 10 I'm using a nuba on the cars I detail, so in all honesty it doesn't really matter to me...lol

Migliore original <--- a pain to put on and get off.
I've never heard anyone talk about it, so while I believe you that it's a pain to work with (just like the Primo I've got) I don't think it really qualifies as over rated. Just my .02

turtle wax makes terrible products, however I did like their wheel gel w/ a cherry scent

I really don't like any of their stuff. Turtle wax ice tire shine is pretty good though.

How is the MF system over rated??

The mf pads are great unquestionably. I'm sure lots ppl have wonderful results with mf pads, but there are some not impressed by the pads. Considering 99% ppl on the forum swear they are the best pads in the world I have to say its overrated. I tried the mf cutting pads so many times with different chemicals, with side by side comparison with ht pads. Never once the mf cutting pads seem had more cutting than ht pads. And there are other ppl had similar issues. They just didn't mention it on the forum, or their threads are just buried by tons of positive feedbacks(tho I also believe some are not from handoff experiences)

If you aren't getting the same results as everyone else, I would look into your technique before saying everyone else is wrong. I didn't like the MF pads at first, but after getting down the proper technique I wouldn't leave home without them.

Exactly.

I've had GREAT success with the Megs MF Cutting Pads + D300 + M105. Finishes down pretty nice too!

I think ONR as a wash is overrated. But not as a lube/detail spray.
