I'm having a real hard time finding a real good product that does a great job taking out stains of all kinds: oils, grease, wine, blood, coffee. I'm looking for a real good one I can trust and count on. Appreciate any and all opinions and advice. Thankyou!

Folex...available at HD and other places, affordable at about $6 per quart, works like mad on most organic stains I've tried it on.

Most here I think will say Folex - I too use Folex cause I can buy it in the gallon form, but I prefer Woolite Oxy Clean - Pet stain remover...... Then again we ran out of all of these lately and have been using APC with great success - seriously seems no better or worse than these stain removers??? Odd, but the agitation process is key and APC has been equivalent IMO

Thankyou all for your replies. I will check the folex out.

Used folex on these mats. Spray folex let sit for 5mins. Agitate with brush then use the Bissell proheat

Dude, those were some cool results. Thankyou for showing them.

I've also heard mentioned a few times a product called 303. Don't know much about it, or if anyone knows a little more bout it? Thanks as always for the advice.

So I'm in the same boat. Both now what about like under the carpet that and as well as the roof material headliner is usually made out of what material. I was recommended folex as well and going to pick some up tomorrow. But lemme tell you these stains are brutal under the carpet. My carpets are disgusting and beat up and I'm buying new ones trust me they need to be replaced but now under that. I want to really clean properly to best I can. Is it the same sort of carpet material you think?

Go gentle on that headliner! Think of it as 'fuzzy cardboard'.

One trick is to use a micro fiber towel and GENTLY wipe the surface. Find as much of an out of sight area to try first.

I should add, not all headliners are of the 'fuzzy cardboard' variety, but from what I've been seeing lately, that is the norm.

BillE - thanks man. I appreciate that. And yeah. Ill just try to blot. With some folex. If I can as well as the material under carpet. And the headline is basically. What u said.

303 Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner. Yes it is a good product. I would say right on par with Folex. Not as economical unfortunately.

Heres the crazy thing :

One of my guys has started using nothing but APC + Foaming glass cleaner to pretreat carpets and upholstery and is doing an AMAZING job at that. I didn't believe it until we did a Lexus together a couple of days ago - he truly created an amazing turnaround by just pretreating! Steamed afterwards and they looked damn near the same as when he was done pretreating. I was seriously amazed. He did spend over an hour pretreating, but it was so worth it. Again - this was just APC + Foaming glass cleaner. He's getting a raise by the way lol :props:

Window cleaner...now THAT is interesting.

Any particular brand?

Great results, but how about a method for us that dont have a steam cleaner?

Instead of using the bissell use a microfiber or terry cloth towel to scrub/dry the area. Of course you might be putting some of the dirt back into the carpet

Nah - he used Sprayaway..... same brand as most out there that are foaming glass cleaners. If you buy 30 cases of Sprayaway you get your own label, which is why many distributers out there have their own labels but charge more and sale the fact that theirs is the best. Amazing results he produced though, all on his own lol.

Problem wih APC, it must be rinsed. You can rinse floor mats, but if you're not using an extractor, I wouldn't APC for inside carpet/upholstery.

Meguiar's Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner is an awesome spray, agitate & wipe cleaner.

I would recommend CG Fabric Clean. I just did a 2003 Accord with tan carpets that had never been deep cleaned other than vacuuming. I diluted 1:10 in a spray bottle. Soaked the dirty areas and misted the cleaner areas til damp. Let sit 5 minutes then agitated. Then I used hot tap water in my Bissell mini carpet cleaner and used that to rinse and extract at the same time. Ended up with 4 gallons of muddy water when finished. Carpet and mats looked virtually brand new. I wish I would have taken before and after shots...I always forget that I might want to share on some post. Good stuff though! Nice lemon scent too.

Agree on CG Fabric clean. This and Roles are my go to carpet cleaning products.
