There is a screen (foreground of pic) which goes over the intake hole in the center of the intake side (the round cutout in the center of the unit). Mine just fell off. It was glued in place with what is obviously not the right adhesive for the job (you can see the gray adhesive blobs on the screen, and no trace of adhesive on the round metal plate).

Anyone else have this happen and what did you use to glue it back? The adhesive they used looks like Liquid Weld or something like that. Since that doesn't work, I wonder if a few blobs of silicone would work?

PS once I had it opened there was exposed bare wire peeking out of the wire nuts so I wrapped them in electrical tape. While they might never short out, wrapping them seemed like the safe thing to do. They should strip their wires shorter during assembly or wrap them from the factory.

I also have recently had a issue with my Master Blaster. The nozzle won't stay attached to the hose anymore. I have tried putting it back on and it keeps blowing off. Even when I do get it on, it leaks air like a siv around the joint.

Yes I've had that happen too, and you're right it does blow off again. The nozzle connector is just a compression fit onto the hose ridges, and not very secure.

I would email Metro .. they are very responsive. I recently damaged the ground and they sent out a new plug and walked me thru replacement.

On mine, the nozzle threads onto the hose, a left hand thread. I give it a twist every now and then to make sure it hasn't loosened. Never had a problem with it coming off.

This happens occassionally to me too!

Maybe Metro should make the nozzle more of a permanent attachment so it stops coming off. I thought it was threaded also, but it still keeps coming off.

Maybe some teflon tape wrapped around the hose would make the fit tighter and stay put. I'll have to give that a try.

If I were going to glue something to the metal part you pointed out I'd try to scruff it up first where the glue will make contact with the metal. That will give the glue a little something to bite into.

I called Metro and spoke to them. David was his name. The Nozzle threads on clockwise. I believe someone here mentioned that already. Its meant to come off if needed. David also said if you want it on there permanently, use gorilla glue and allow to try for 24 hours.
