Incredibly Cheap Finds

Ollie's Bargain Outlet Had 2 aisles of car stuff. Found some Kasey Kahne private label products. Bought the Tire shine for $2.99 for my wheel wells. Also had microfiber wash mitts, lambswool mitts, microfiber towels etc. There was even a caliper painting kit but it was yellow. Red and I'm a buyer. Not AG quality obviously but some good bargains. Also picked up a tire applicator with the handle for $2.99 And I haven't seen the "foot " gas pedal in a long time! In silver! Local Big Lots had CD2 engine detailer for $4. I picked up 4 cans. I've never used this and this weekend is engine detail time.

have never seen it at my Oriely's, will have to look tomorrow!

is the aquapel a web order or instore?

The only place locally I've seen aquapel was ace hardware. Never seen it at oreillys.

The aquapel was instore on the close out shelf. I stopped by 2 more stores on my way home last night and bought 8 more. You can check online and see how many each store has left,

I picked up some Aquapel at my O'Reillys last week. Went on a whim and asked because it wasn't on the shelf. "Never heard of it but let me check in the back" was the reply. Came back with "what do you know we have some". How much? I say. $2.00 he comes back with and I say let me have what you got. Where I live I never figured they would have it.

Werner platform $17 in store at Home Depot on black friday

I was just flipping through the HD ad and I saw the "Gorilla" platform, it's a little smaller, for $17. Not trying to call you out, I just want to make sure I'm getting the best platform. Where did you see the Werner one for 17?

+1

The hardware store is a great place to get 5 gallon buckets

I agree! Before I used them for washing cars, I had a friend who would save the buckets from the restaurant he works at. They ship pickles in them. I never completely got that smell out, so I just use them for trash cans/dirt/other minor uses around the shop and house.

Where I did find a great value on the buckets was at the local grocery store. It's a small chain, not WalMart or anything (although I'm sure they'll take care of you too, it's all about how you ask.) I went to the bakery and asked if they get their icing in the 5 gallon buckets. She said no. They get them in 4 gallon buckets! ha. But, seriously, they're thicker than the HD/Lowes ones, and she gave me 2 with lids that have a rubber gasket around it. All for the low price of $0.00.

I also found a few "Parts Brushes" at the local CarQuest when I was getting some DG stuff, and they were under a buck a piece. I've never used one of the $15 lug nut brushes, but these seem to work as well as I could imagine them working. The first one, I cut a section out of the middle, but I misplaced that one and haven't even bothered with it on this second one. They have varying bristle strengths, too.

I couldn't wait so I got the Werner platform online for $34. I didn't want to wait inline and could spend the extra few bucks. Seems like a good deal to me! HOME DEPOT
