Incredibly Cheap Finds

Found a long handled wheel brush at Orchard Supply Hardware on sale for $4.00 from $9.99 that I picked up today.

You guys should check out the gorilla platform at Home Depot.... Never mind.. Appears to be discontinued!

It does say discontinued online, but I do see that in the BF ad it shows that it's "In Store Only" Just like this Vac next to it, some retailers bring in items that they can get a great deal on. They may be missing a feature or two, or in this case a discontinued item that is probably not the same quality as the werner. It's not the same size, I know that. Either way, I'm going to brave the crowd on Friday and see if I can get a couple.

Side note: I got a samsung tv a few years back on BF and I searched the model number a week or two later, only to realize it was missing a "different" model (only one number off) but sometimes they do this so they can have the whole "we match ANY competitor's price." That's because Samsung made that model exclusively for BestBuy. Same tv, just different number.

I was perusing through the ads this evening and came across the Ollie's ad. In it I found the Meguiar's branded DA sanders/polishers (Chicago Pneumatic) for 19.99 a piece. They go on sale tomorrow at 5 am and I plan on picking up one of each. Below are the links to them. Hope someone else can take advantage of this great deal. I know I will be using them for headlight restorations.

Meguiars Headlight Kit Replacement Pneumatic 3 inch DA Air Tool, air sander

Meguiars Headlight Kit Replacement Pneumatic 3 Inch Rotary Air Tool, mini air rotary tool

I hope this isn't breaking any of the forum rules. Just thought I would share. If it is, Mods can delete it. Thanks

If you don't have an Ollie's nearby and really want one PM me and maybe we can work something out. Serious Inquiries only please.

I picked up a couple of the Gorilla platforms from Home Depot. Thanks for sharing.

I finally found some Aquapell at Orielys. got one at my local store along with some glass scrub for a buck ea (2) and some gell glass treatment that Ill test for $1.17, then stopped at another location on my way to work and got two more Aquapells. Wife may get lucky at home Depot and find a gorilla work stand. maybe maybe not.

Happy day today - scored one of those Gorilla steps for 17 bux at HD today. In and out of the store in less than 10 mins!

Scored the Megs air tool set at Ollie's. Thanks for the info. It was cold at 5am.

Glad to see someone else could grab them. That is a crazy deal if you ask me as long as nothing major is wrong with them. Unfortunately for me, I was at my Ollie's this morning and turns out the warehouse distributor didn't send all the necessary parts for operation so they pulled them from the ad last minute. The sales manager took my phone # so I'm waiting on a call for when they're back in stock. At least I was able to get the work platform and got to use it today and I must say it was definitely worth the investment. It was quite chilly this morning. I was the 9th person in line at HD but luckily only had to wait for 40 mins.

I got a work platform too. I just happened to go at 8 or 9 this morning to pick up some pancake mix for the family. HD is next to the Target, so of course, Target is the only place to get pancake mix! Ha, but, I walked in and they had 3 or 4 left, no idea how many they started with. Grabbed it, walked to the front, Paid, Left. Pretty quick. I wanted to check the other stuff out, but it was too hectic in there. No one seemed to care about these. I heard someone say "why would you want one of those... They have the ladders for 25!" haha

Sorry to hear about the Megs snafu. Hope they pull through for you. The platform I got years ago when someone here mentioned it. I love it as I can pull my wheel off and throw my big foam block on the platform to cushion the wheel/tire and use the DA with brush attachment to clean the tires (both sides) and rims. Dress with PB through the air gun and bam done.

That's a good use for them. As I was using mine yesterday I was contemplating that I should have got another one because it came in very handy using it as a work station to set your stuff on while working.
Question about using an air gun to dress tires. I have thought of it before and was wondering how does it work? Do you have to dilute your dressing to spray it? Dad has a cabinet shop and one day I was looking at one of the small spray guns used to apply glazing to the doors and thought of dressing tires with it. I thought it was a great idea until he said the price of the gun, $175. Where did you pick your gun up at? And if you don't mind me asking how much was it? Thanks

I have 2 set aside for me the ones here came missing without the backing plates, the thing is these were purchased essentially as wholesale buyout.. Would Meg's send the backing plates that are missing to Ollie's or were they purchased cheaply because they were missing the backing plates

Good question, I haven't opened my boxes yet. Gotta check. Ref the spray gun....vvv

No problem, got it right here at AG. Look under Optimum Poly Technology, spray gun. Cheaper than 175. I use PB Bold and Bright neat. Thing about the Optimum gun is you can adjust the spray to your liking.

I bought a cheap sprayer from harbor freight to use for tires and engine bays. What psi are you running when you spray? Mine is set to wide open I'm assuming it needs regulated.
