Incredibly Cheap Finds

advance auto has griots wheel cleaner for 1.99 a bottle. It's available online for in store pickup and it's the green stuff, not the HD. The HD is 9.99, but I'm really getting this stuff for the spray bottles and to test it out. The spray bottles are 2x this much anyway.

Killer find, thanks from me too! :D

My local AP had 1, ordered it. The other one had 2, ordered them. Another one the other side of I-75 has at least 3 so I guess I'll go get theirs as well.

I just picked up Meg's 105 and 205 at advance auto for 9 bucks each bought all they had

In 32oz bottles?
Don't need any 105, but I'd snap up 205 for sure. (Don't need any of that either, but use the crap out of it.) ;)

FWIW I noticed that Advance also has the wheel cleaner kit marked down. The one with the scrubber and the two finger sponges. The kit is only $9.99. I already have one, but picked up another, never can have too many finger applicator/scrubbers.

Yeah, I don't really know if it's great either, but I had planned on getting some cheap spray bottles and this is cheaper than even the walmart bottles. They should be Chem resistant, so why not... If it doesn't work who cares? It's half price of the turtle wax or even same price as the dollar tree crap ($1 for 16oz) so what do you have to lose?

You have to order online and pick up in store. They wouldn't pricematch the website, and it scans for 9.99 in store. Their inventory is accurate though, one store had 3 and I ordered 2, it showed one left online. Sure enough, the had one left. I ordered it for my brother in law and it said "call for availability" as soon as I checked out via paypal. Pretty surprising considering how awful the rest of the site is.

Is the griots wheel cleaner really that good?

I've never tried it. But, in all honesty, I can use soap to clean my wheels. I like using wheel cleaners that foam up and cling though. I'm guessing it foams up well since it comes with a foaming sprayer. I also like the bottles. Add to that snow, cold weather, and boredom. It was an easy sale for $1.99 a bottle.

But, most Griot's product I've used are pretty good. I haven't tried any of their stuff that was garbage.

I don't have the snow but temps in the 20s are killing me. I just about died the other day washing in the low 40s.

I wouldn't say any of their stuff that I've tried is garbage, but their best of show wax and speed shine don't really live up to their price. They definitely are quality products, but should be about half the price IMO.

I tried to order some online and found they have a quantity of ZERO! I even called around and found that none of the area stores had any left.

If you need the spray bottles that price is good enough to dump the product down the drain and keep the bottle for other product.

+1

Call their 800 number. Online, all stores had Zero. I called and managed to get 20 of them at 2 stores about 10 miles from me. 40 bucks for all that isn't a bad investment IMO

Just jumped on the Griots wagon! Never had Griots products before. The store near me was at full price. Ordered online and got two for $4

If you order like thirty some bottles online for delivery, you'll not only have wheel cleaner / spray bottles for life - but you will get free shipping and a credit for your next purchase.

I'm thinking of it.

Here is the stuff in action. Looks pretty foamy.
