Incredibly Cheap Finds

Well havnt seen a topic about this so decidided to create it, My story starts with my sister inviting me to dollar tree (98 Cent store), usually I like to stay away from these kinds of stores because usually the merchandise is all 100%, however I did not have much to do so I went and was just browsing some of the isles and found the cleaning section and noticed this

Im sure it has a lot of uses like spreading wax:

Another thing that I saw was a window cleaning wand type of stuff (all cheap but alright microfiber) that regret not buying there and then.
I Also bought some 2litre spray bottles now I know 100% these things will not last me an eternity and will proablably break but for 1 dollar cant really say no.
Ill proablably will be visiting next week and see what else I find anyways if you have the money get the stuff from AG its more durable but if you have one of these store close its worth checking out.
Just to wrap it up what are your finds? trades? ETccc. Comment.Im the MAN:cruisin:
i went to use mine today and the hook it part cam off with the pad. It was glued on oh well it was only a buck.

The 1/2 bottle makes good clay lube, but depending on preference you may be happy with that one.

I think (others do too, some don't) that roughly 3:1 (33:95) is too much. You can get away with half that bottle or less in a gallon dilution ratio. My recommendation would be to mix up some 4 ounce versions and try them out before committing to dumping a whole bottle into a qd.

I thought I had read somewhere that pouring the entire bottle in a gallon of distilled water was the best ratio for QD. As always it is better to mix smaller batches at different ratios to see what works best. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

It probably does work just fine but I don't want you to have searched every store in town to pour the entire bottle into a gallon when a half would do. Don't use tap. It turned purple on me after a few weeks

Is the new car kit the one that has the towel in it?

Ran by my Kmart. Hardly had anything, I did get some Meg's Hot Rims Brake Dust Barrier to try. My FoSt has massive dust, figure for $2.50 it was worth a shot. Also got some Eagle One Never Dull for my exhaust for $3.94

I agree. A whole bottle is a waste. I use it as qd @ 6oz per galllon w/ the TW stuff. At that dilution ratio it's strong enough to remove greasy fingerprints with ease after working on something under the hood. I've used the TW rinseless at 1oz per gallon to wash cars with as well. The dilution ratio on the bottle is for a mid-sized vehicle with an "average" amount of soiling according to TW. They'll even tell you that it's ok to alter the dilution ratio accordingly.

Oh hell yes!!! Glad I'm not the only one!! :) I'm sure they're well intended, but, it's kind of like a programmer writing instructions on how to use the program....... it never has and never will work without a lot of frustration.

I keep mine in the garage fridge. Didn't realize that the water was the problem. i have been using tap water just fine tho. It doesn't like to sit in the heat for a week thats for sure, hence the fridge.

next batch ill get the distilled.

Thanks for the tip, I ran by my local store and picked up some Nano spray wax for $1.87, it was all they had and some Mothers FX spray wax for $2.37

Oriellys still has all old packaging eagle 1 stuff, lens sealer for about $2 (reg $13) and other great deals. NOW, ,,,, RUN RUN RUN to pep boys as they r blowing out all kinds of stuff. To much to list but here r a few names....Autoglym reg $13 paid $2 mothers back to black $2 n much more.

I think napa has a deal that is (roughly) buy a bucket for $2.99 and get everything you can fit inside for 20% off. They carry duragloss

Do I detect a fellow programmer?

I found these spray bottles at Walmart (garden section). They have a nice spray head and also have a dilution scale on the bottle. They were $2 or $3 each.
