Yikes, That Was Painful

That's why credibility is paramount. A guy like Corey has it and has built his reputation on it. I don't put any credence in reviews from anyone other than someone I know and/or trust.

Are you saying Garry Dean doesn't know what he's doing?

I disagree. Garry only changed his view about the sound of the machine. He maintained his opinion about the good performance of the machine. I can vouch for Garry, as I've changed my mind about many products over time, and yes, I know what I'm doing. :D

hd>flex? :(

The 3401 has a lot of potential. However, I happen to not be a fan of it these days. The polisher really tries to control you, not you control it. It obviously has to to with the forced rotation, but another thing, the pad spins counter clockwise which makes it awkward as well. I'd take the HD polisher over the 3401 in a heartbeat.

Can I buy you a HD polisher and you give me your Flex?

Well I know better then to get involved in forum drama , I think this is a good time to get a few things off of my chest. We are all on various forums as guest of the forum owners. These owners have the utmost right to operate these forums as they see fit. Members owe it to said owners to follow these rules or post elsewhere. Personally I frequent various forums as I see many of the members here do the same. I like these various forums for many different reasons and see no reason to restrict myself to any one avenue of learning and sharing of ideas. Moderators have better things to do then babysit members that constantly want to stir up drama between members and or forums. All of these forums have something to offer. As Mike Phillips has often said "find something you like and use it often". It would be great to fire up the laptop someday and surf my favorite sites to see a ton of detailing info minus any drama. I know its hard sometimes not to jump on the bandwagon and many of us in the past have been guilty (including myself) of posting something before thinking it through. So maybe we all could take a deep breath and push away from the keyboard for a moment. Thanks for giving me a chance blow off a little steam. :)

Very well said, and on that note... as Nick said please keep this friendly we will not tolerate any bashing of members or other forums.

Kind of unfortunate that threads with REAL VALUABLE information related to DETAILING get so little airplay but one focused around drama such as this thread and the thread it is about spread like wildfire....

I dont get it??

Drama is attention getter.

Hmmm....how about a thread of House Wives of Autogeekers!

Its stuff like this that has kept me from being as active as I once was on the forums...

Very true...
I was an active member of a shotgun forum.
It was a great mixture of fun people and serious discussions.
A bit of drama was always amusing, but the forum progressed to the point that 90% of the posts were either personal attacks or ridiculous comments from trolls.
Eventually all of the dedicated participants in the forum just gave up on contributing and the ruffians took over.
The forum ended shortly after that.. patience has its limits.. although Autogeek housewifes may have merit :)

Any chance AG will stock this polisher? As they stock Griots polisher, and the business is sort of similar, as both have "competing" websites. Would anyone like to see AG carry it?

No thats not what Richy said Flash! :bash:
This place really should get a spanking smiley!

He knows that. I am usually very clear and concise with what words I choose. Without touching whatever drama kicked this into motion, I was merely stating how very important credibility is. Corey has it. Period. Not going anywhere else in public. I try my best to steer clear of drama. I monitor that religiously on L2D. (which will hopefully be back up in a few more hours after the upgrade).

I can see where you're coming from, but no chance, IMO. Not that it's a bad thing.

I think things gets a little confused when jumping from forum to forum, or even within the same forum. Garry made a video to give his thoughts, and some people thought he was backtracking in the second video, and thought it was his affiliation with 3D that caused him to do so. Either way, take it for what it's worth and decide for yourself if you want to try it out or not.

Again, I could see where people may assume that which is understandable. You're right, it comes down to who you want to believe, and I choose to believe Garry.

I don't get why everyone over there was bashing on him. I don't see anyone else buying all the DA's on the market and reviewing them all. Unless I'm missing something.

Props Garry! :props:

After watching both videos twice I was here thinking, "wow, he must have gotten a call from the 3D/HD lawyer to change his speech like that"...

Anyway, did you guys notice how he has was loading his body weight onto the polisher and it wouldn't stop rotating? The very point of using a DA is to have the clutch engage so you don't burn trough the clear coat, isn't?
