Which steps are mandatory for polishing with Menzerna products

I am new to the world of polishing. I purchased a Flex 3401 and a host of Menzerna products. I started with the least aggressive solutions, but none of them worked to remove all the swirls. I ended up starting with PG-1000 with a yellow Lake Country pad. It worked well to remove the swirls and some lighter scratches. I then moved to SIP-1500 with orange Lake Country pads. Again, the results were great. Here is my dilema--where do I go from here? I have PF-2500 and SF-4000.

Can I skip to SF-4000 if I had good swirl free results with the SIP-1500 or do I need to do the intermediate step of using PF-2500.

If I need to use the PF-2500 instead of jumping to SF-4000, should I use the SF-4000 or jump to the UF-4500?

Suggestions are appreciated. I have searched and searched but I have not found info on this type of topic. I really need some expertise on how far I can jump in between steps.

I have a 2005 Honda Accord with Graphite Pearl paint. It is a fairy dark color--not sure if this is a consideration in the process!
 
If the result of SIP1500 is acceptable to you no need to use SF2500 or next polish step, you can proceed with you fave LSP
 
I think you could go from pg1000 to sf4000. I went from pg1000 to sf4500 and it seemed fine, although I am a noob, so do a test spot and see :)

The answer is simple. Do a Test Spot. If the results from your test spot look GREAT then duplicate the process over the entire car.

Sounds like you've already buffed out the car with two steps without doing a test spot so at this point, just test the SF 4000 on the hood. IF the results look GREAT then you can skip the PF-2500 and simply buff the entire car out with the SF 4000 and then apply your LSP.

I think there's something wrong with the technique here. The left side looks great but the right side looks horrible. Whatever you did on the left, you should try on the right. Heck, you should do that on the entire car.:buffing:

Did you mean on 50/50 shots??
