WOW! so I've been off the forum for a few months and just checked back as I'm looking to make another order of some boutique products for the shop and WOW talk about almost every manufacture now stepping up and making QDs and Spray Waxes!!!
I've used AquaWax by Duragloss and Megs Spray Wax 154 (I think) .... What else has anyone used that's new or new and improved?
Looking for a single wipe type product and not so much of an apply, let haze then buff...

Thx peeps!

As you've stated, there's a ton of sprays on the market. Maybe I might be missing something good, but I'm stuck on AquaWax on a wet car and OCW when dry. It'll take some convincing to move me away from those two.

I've heard good things about Ultima Paint Guard Plus. I've got a bottle but haven't used it yet.
Ultima Paint Guard Plus, paint sealant, liquid wax, paint sealer, car wax sealant
They say the 4 oz bottle will do a mid size car 20 times...

It's not a spray wax though, it's a WOWA sealant, two different things IMO. It is a great LSP though, just not a spray wax.

OP, I love OCW and XMT 360 Spray wax. They are my two favorites. I think XMT is on sale now for like 12.99

I'm a HUGE fan of V7. Zaino Z-8 is number 2, then OCW.

+1. V7 is an awesome product. It flashes really quickly yet not to quick where you get streaks. The Zaino z-8 is also a favorite and the opticals are awesome

Are we not talking about spray waxes? V7, Aqua Wax and Z8 are all spray sealants.

I have XMT 360 Spray Wax, Optimum Car Wax, Wolfgang Spritz Sealant and Chemical Guys V7, all are really excellent top notch products, can't go wrong with either one. DuraGloss Aqua Wax is also a forum favourite.

If you still have a substantial amount of the Aqua Wax then I'd stick with it for now, unless you're really eager to try something new. If you do want to order a different one then go for V7 IMO. It's my favourite.

I have Meg's D156 and Aquawax. I like both of them. I like the fact that D156 can be used on every exterior surface. Durability is about equal IMO.

I love AquaWax and will continue to use it, plan on buying the gallon size over the winter as I've got enough of it right now to last me the rest of the season, along with other DG products.

I do plan on trying the Blacklight and V7 combo in the spring as well, so there's another one for you....V7. Welcome back!

Anyone try the new spray sealant and spray wax from DODO yet? How do they compare to some of the forum favorites (aqua wax, megs UQW,OCW,XMT 360). They should be good considering DODO waxes are awesome but I've been dissappointed in their other products(tyromania) especially because the prices are higher. I too love spray waxes/sealants/Qds and own about 7 different ones. I'm always trying to get a paste wax result from a spray wax. I use a generous amount of QD to help dry the car and follow with 2 coats of spray wax/sealant.

Hi Fred...

Yes!...There sure have been some new entrants into the "Spray Wax" arena;
but there are, seemingly, still a few AGO-forum-favorites, that have so far been listed,
that haven't changed much since this thread:

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/42486-looking-buy-gallon-new-spray-wax.html

Now...Due to a magnaminous gifting from AGO forum member: Vegas Transplant...
...I personally have just starting using Optimum Car Wax---Excellent!!! to say the least!!

-OCW, along with Meg's D156&UQW...My favorites, to date.

From OPT's OCW product description:

"Optimum Car Wax is the only spray car wax that provides the durability of a paste wax and long-lasting UV protection.
A combination of high-grade Carnauba wax, sealant polymers and UV inhibitors,
forms a protective layer on the painted surface to protect the paint
from sun damage and environmental elements for up to 5 months".

BTW...
I'm sure that PBMG appreciates the business relationship...
...But...The frequency of your visits back to your: "Old Haunts" (AGO)...
Shouldn't always be determined by your need to submit orders for new/more products, IMO.

I, for one, do sorely miss your postings/rapport!

:)

Bob

I guess staying with a "wax" is implied?? I didn't interpret it that way...I saw he was looking for something new or new and improved...wipe on product...nothing that needed buffing...

All spray "waxes" have some degree of polymer in them. The difference between the two terms is a matter of semantics more than reality.

I've heard good things for Prima Hydro Wax as you spray, one day I'll try it out. Too many spray waxes in my current inventory.
