I believe it's a wax, just an extraordinarily durable one.
Sealants generally last at least a year.
In my experience #845 is more of a sealant than a wax. It is ultra durable and most can easily get 4-6 months out of 2 layer application.
Can I ask what sealant you are using and getting a year of durability out of? The most I realistically get is 6 months. After that I am never happy with it and need to strip it off and start again as it fails to bead and sheet like I think it should.
I've always got the inkling that it's a carnauba wax with various synthetic sealants mixed in. It's certainly not just your run of the mill carnauba wax, and it's certainly not just a sealant due to the carnauba content.
