The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Had a idea and felt like trying something creative lol....

Used my automotive paint gun to apply Built Hamber auto foam and think it worked really good. Layed a perfectly uniform wet film over the entire car then I drove it to the car wash.

Would highly recommend trying for anyone with a compressor who wants to apply a automotive soap efficiently.

I have both a hvlp and lvlp paint gun and used my lvlp for this. If anyone wants to try it I think Harbor Freight sells a lvlp paint gun for cheap that will work.

So what was your mix in the gun? Straight AF or cut with water?

Ive seen videos of folks using a cheap mini hvlp gun for appyling tire sheen

Take pics next time, those with a paint gun would probably like to see how it came out, hell I don't have a paint gun but would love to see it

Saw this Commodore walking the dogs tonight, I noticed there was something different from about 200 metres away. It did have a front plate, but I wiped it. The owner ordered the paint from Japan, it's called Musou Black, it absorbs over 99% of visible light. No polishing, no waxing.

The only thing the owner succeeded in doing there is making the whole thing look like the clear has failed.

The picture doesn't show it, but the effect was uneven. Parts of the roof and hood were definitely not absorbing the light like other parts, not shiny, but still obvious.

This isn’t current but it showed up on my phone. This was CC topped with Ech20. Ech20 leaves some really impressive gloss. That’s probably the best thing about that particular product.

Welcome aboard, cool screen name

Was thinking the same. Welcome. I have an Acura TL about the same color. Love it until we get a light rain and wind that leaves dirt spots all over. No hiding from that. :)

yeah, it makes me want to shake my fist in the air and yell "Grimmmmme!"

Carvana made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. I hope whoever buys it will be as careful as I was, 6 years old and still looked brand new.

For the foreseeable future, it won’t be replaced. My wife and I will make it work with 1 car until the market is more favorable for buyers and we can negotiate better.
