Ironx bleeding hours later

It's now been 4 hrs since I applied Ironx to my wifes car and followed it with an insane amount of water to flush it out of the trim but it is still bleeding from two spots on the trim. I can't possibly force more water into the area than I already have. Any tips to stop the bleeding?
 
Tourniquet?

A real suggestion...
Maybe try drying the car around the block a few times to sling out excess product via centrifugal force and then re-rinse.

Repeat if it's still an issue...


Another option, try blowing are in troubled areas and then try the above?

Is the trim rusted or is the trim held on with a mechanical fastener from behind?
 
It's a 2007 Chevy equinox. I drove it around town running errands for about an hour and when I came back it had stopped...or so I thought. About 10 min. later it started running again and still is right now. I've cleaned it up several times but it just keeps coming. I keep hoping it'll clot but so far no luck. It's plastic trim half way down the door and I have no idea what kind of clips it has. Seems like everything is plastic on the vehicle so I'm not sure where all of this is coming from. I guess I'll have to see what it does overnight. Thanks for the responses.

This would be an absolute nightmare if you did this profesionally. I couldn't imagine having to phone a customer and explain to them that their car won't stop bleeeding

Maybe duct tape will stop it. I cut my finger real bad once and duct tape stop the bleeding
 
Hmmm, I know what trim you're talking about but I can't figure out why it would bleed so much. I doubt Chevy has metal clips back there.

I'm thinking there are plastic clips back there mounted in holes on the door panel. Maybe the edge of the holes are rusting out behind the moulding?

exactly.. thats why its bleeding so much..
after you'v rinse it .. blow air there as much as you can.. it will dry the area.
you should seal it though somehow , if you can.
 
Thanks for chiming in guys. Out of curiosity, if the holes are rusting what effect does/did the Ironx have on the rust?

Although I am empathetic towards your bleeding situation,
-I must say Thank You!! OP for this thread.

-Goes to show that there could be hidden-issues lurking behind
a vehicle's trim-pieces---regardless of their materials' make-up.

IMO...Stoppage of this bleeding has become a royal PITA.
You really need to remove this particular bloody trim-piece
for further inspection...remediation if needed---for rust, or otherwise.

Just think...Since you used a decon-system, like Iron-X's, your vehicle has had
noticable bleeding---in particular: a trim piece that's still hemorrhaging many hours later...
as though stricken with the "Royal Disease"(Hemophilia)...

-Have GM's vendors been guilty of in-breeding trim pieces?!?!
(If so..Is it anywhere close to the alleged in-breeding at
the top of the GM managerial-heap?)<<< I digress.


But:
Just think if you had not used a
decon-system---whether it causes bleeding, or not!!

Perhaps no "buried-treasures", then.

If your door trim/moulding is as pictured in the following link's diagram #2...
You may be in Luck!!

Looks as though it's an "applique"...
Affixed with double-sided tape (3M, no doubt).

Hopefully with no clips/drilled holes being hidden behind the trim piece.

The extra bleeding may be IronX still doing its thing on contaminates
that sneaked in and filled some voids.

The Greek physicians of old, let leeches do the 'bleeding'.
Imagine if they would have had some IronX back then!!
