Hyper Polish without spray??

Has anyone tried either Hyper Polish or Compound without using a spray bottle? I find it hard to limit the amount of product I want on the pad with the sprayer. I was going to try it in a Megs squeeze bottle, but wanted to know if that's a bust. I'm assuming it would work.
 
Squeeze bottle works good with foam, IME. But I prefer the trigger, moreso, when using a rotary.
But it was messy with mf pads. More of a tendency to overload, and of eneven coverage on pad face.
 
I'm curious about this as well. Hey Chris@Optimum, what's your spin on this???
 
It was formulated to be sprayed on, hence its thin viscosity. If you pour it into a squeeze bottle it will be difficult to work with because of how thin it is.

Nick, if you watch Dr G in the video Mike does with him on the HP and HC, Dr. G comments a few times on the importance of shaking the bottle prior to spraying. I was going to follow the same advice with the squeeze bottle. I do think I can control the volume better with the squeeze bottle, but just wanted to see if anyone else had tried it....I didn't think I'd be the first to think of it.

Correct, it is very important to shake the product often. I have tried it in a squeeze bottle but I prefer using it as a spray.

Ok. Perfect answer. I was hoping to hear from someone who had tried it that way. Did it not seem to work as well in the viscosity it came from being dispensed from the bottle? What were the results? Not uniform mix? Dry too quickly? What did you find?

I've used it by pouring it directly onto the paint or onto a pad and also by spraying it onto the paint instead of the pad and found both worked fine for me.


Note: Spraying it directly onto the paint can be messy because if you don't tip your pad to pull the product under the pad and instead run the side of a spinning pad into product sitting on the surface it will tend to splatter.

I had to be very careful applying it to the pad so it didn't run off.

Yes, that makes perfect sense with a thinner viscosity liquid. I think I'll just stick to the spray bottle then. Thanks for the reply!

I've followed your advise Nick when getting to the end and spraying the excess out of the spritzer. This seems to work well, though "priming" the pump the next time out tends to be a little messy.
 
Never tried it TBH.

Actually, the more I use the spray the more I find myself liking it over traditional polish bottles. It just seems faster (especially when your traditional bottles are less full) and it distributes product nicely and evenly over the face of the pad....as long as you have a good sprayer that is. ;)
 
When I jacked up my sprayer I used it just pouring it onto the pad, no noticeable difference in performance.

have you put the polish in another sprayer?

Has anyone ever tried this?
 
Because everyone doesn't use it often, we've started shipping it with a screw on lid and the sprayer seperate. If you may not use it for 30 days or so, remove the sprayer, spray the contents back into the bottle and replace the screw on lid. Optionally you can spray some warm soapy water thru the sprayer before storage.
