I need some paint sealants that last a LONG time....Please suggest

are you going to put in the time to properly correct the surface before applying the sealant or do you just want something to help save the clear coat a little longer so you don't feel as guilty with longer times between washes?

I vote for the Midnight Express from Hi-Temp.

Wolfgang or DP Paint Sealants.

I have two sealants that I really love.

First the Wolfgang Glossy Paint Sealant.
The name "Wolfgang" is often brought up here and for good reason, they only sell top notch products, one being the paint sealant.
The first time I used it was on a 2006 GMC.
The customer wanted a two step correction, I had to spend many hours being the paint was in horrible shape, once done with the second step which was Meguiar's Ultra Fine Polish, the truck was left with an amazing shine, it was now time to seal it all up.

I applied a very thin coat of the sealant, waited one hour and buffed off.
Have to say I was shocked, surprised at the shine it gave me plus the paint was super slick.
It's a long lasting paint sealant so if your looking for one of the best buy the Wolfgang Sealant, IMO it's a sealant that's hard to beat.

Another paint sealant I'd reccomend to you is the DP Poli-Coat Paint Sealant.
Nick with AG sent me a 32oz bottle for me to try, yeah only here would some one give you a product, some may send you a small sample but here they go all out. :dblthumb2:

Anyway I wanted to do a side by side comparison with the Wolfgang and the DP sealant, the hood was the panel for the comparison.
What's the difference in the two?

Well first off the Wolfgang must cure one hour before buffing off, whereas the DP you don't have to wait that long.
Once the DP sealant begins to haze you can buff it off, saves you time when you don't have much time on your hands, no waiting an hour.

Again, I was happy with the results I saw after I removed it,great high shine, in fact it was hard to see which side of the hood had more shine.
It was to difficult to see a be difference of the two.
However I did notice the Wolfgang was a little more slick than the DP sealant , not by much but all the same noticeable.

Abut two weeks later I got caught in rain, when I was parked I looked to see if there was a difference in beading, they were almost the same if not exactly the same.

So which one would I choose over the other?
Tough call but I'd pick the Wolfgang only because it left the paint a little more slick but you can't go wrong with either one, you'd be happy no matter which one you were to buy.
The DP is a little cheaper if I'm not mistake so that may make a difference to some.

I'm now learning that DP also sells top notch products as well being I tried a couple of their products.

DP Quick Detailer
DP Rinse-Less Wash & Gloss

Both of them are extremely good:dblthumb2:

Oh, one more thing with the two sealants.
I found that the DP was easier to spread.

I'm using Polish Angel sealants, they last a long time, Viking lasts well over a year and Master Sealant lasts around a year.

EXO v1 not sure if its a coating or sealant but its good to, and easy to apply if you get the application temperature right.

Thanks for the support! :)

Duragloss and Collinite, you can't go wrong with either. I will through in Megs UPW/ULW and Sonax Polymer Net Shield.

22PLE and Migliore Strata are my favorite coatings. Very easy to apply and looks are stunning. I guarantee my customers 12 months for Strata and 24 months for 22PLE. (Certain restrictions apply of course.) I have never been called out on this, not once.

We are talking about Sealants not Coatings :)

Cquartz UK is the way to go

+1. It applies on/off like a paint sealant, and with periodic wipe-downs with Reload, 18-24 months should be no problem.

I am starting to prefer this to Opti-Coat 2.0 from a practicality, appearance and ease-of-use standpoint.

Can you apply with a regular yellow foam applicator?

Rejex is durable, so are the Klasse Twins.

Obviously Opti-coat 2.0 is the most durable choice, but you gotta take the time to apply correctly and then your good for several years to come.

+1 for Rejex. I applied this to my friend's Mustang over a year ago and it is still beading water like I just put it on. As with anything, prep is key. Make sure you apply it to a very clean surface and it will last a long time.

I put it on my car a while ago, but have since applied other products, but here is the thread I started about it so you can see what kind of results you will get
