Please tell me what social programs benefit us high paid federal employees because I would like to apply for them. Also please post the internal GAO report that states 70% of federal employees do absolutely nothing to help the people they were intended to help.
Federal jobs are a social program in themselves, dealing out massively overpaid salaries and benefits to under qualified and under performing people.
I know because I live in an area rich with Federal workers and can look up their salary and bonus money online. I see the hours they work, I talk to them and learn all about their slackard attitudes. For instance, none of them are at work for 40 hours a week, one woman on my block making 175k spent 6 months at work doing nothing but planning her wedding, she laughs about it when telling people. They get hundreds of dollars per month if they take the Metro, and their child care is 40% cheaper.
In general they are paid 1.5-2X what they would make in the private sector, cannot be fired or laid off unless they do something egregious, and are given transportation and child care perks well above the average citizen.
Its well publicized how they treat taxpayer dollars. Trying as hard as possible to waste every dollar they can in order to justify their existence and get the same amount or more the next year. Almost none of the money goes to the intended target. Last year our Governor was finally able to liberate 400 million dollars the Fed had tied up for transportation projects by taking them to court. The money had been stuck in bureaucratic channels for years. He said that there was likely 10s of billions of dollars sitting around like that, waiting for some lazy Federal employee to do their job. Look at the money dumped into Mortgage relief programs, that did NOTHING to slow down or stop foreclosures because of the red tape and conditions that reduced its effectiveness to less than 5%.
Its simply not fair for the US taxpayer to support such nonsense.
