I'm surprised that your MF towel looks larger "after" washing, than it did before?!

I thought you were supposed to let microfiber towels air dry? Doesn't throwing them in the dryers melt the fibers?

I bought some on BOGO, and it's a keeper for me.
I don't think so. High heat will cause static electricity in the microfibers, which can be bad when you use that towel on your paint, potentially scratching it. But I dry on low heat, which is totally finerops:
