I thought you were supposed to let microfiber towels air dry? Doesn't throwing them in the dryers melt the fibers?

I don't think so. High heat will cause static electricity in the microfibers, which can be bad when you use that towel on your paint, potentially scratching it. But I dry on low heat, which is totally fine rops:

"Wash your microfiber in the washing machine with detergent only. Tumble them dry on low heat or no heat."
