TurtleWax Rinseless Wash

I was about to head out to AA, when I realized that I live 15 minutes from Autogeek HQ.

I normally call in my order in the morning, and pick it up after work, so virtually every car care product out there is "locally available" to me!

I get so wrapped up in the hype sometimes

Still a sweet deal on the TW stuff, but I think I'll pick up a gallon of DG tomorrow on my way home... :coolgleam:

I can't argue with logic like that, or your choice in rinseless, its my favorite! No matter how good this deal is and it is, NOTHING is better than DG rinseless!

i NEED TO try a rinsless wash and wax. I think this one might a good way to enter into the world of rineless washing with out hurting the bank

Well the TW rinseless is great because its everywhere locally but from a cost standpoint buying a gallon of DG, DP, ONR or BF or any of the other ones is actually smarter because with those you only use 1 oz of product, whereas with TW it takes 4 oz, although on a dusty car 3 oz is fine IMO.

Just went to the local auto store here in Australia. Man you guys are luckly over there because it costs double here, and never have BOGOF deals on the detailing stuffs

Fancy shelf display!

The BOGO free ends at the end of the month , going look for more today:)

Last night I did my car again and still amazed at how well it works.
I really spray a panel good with my mix then reach in my bucket, wring out the towel some, gently wipe it down the dry, so easy and gives me a nice shine, clean look.

Used it a few times, I inspected my paint, no issues:)

Its not exclusive to that store, LOL but what is is that price, yikes! Its $7.99 here normally, so the BOGO makes it a MUST BUY!

Not sure if this has been covered here yet, but I saw this a while back on another detailing site.

Post made by a member there.

"I contacted TW to see if the recommended dilution ratio would be different if one were to use two buckets and a grit-guard insert during their wash process. 2oz per gallon is excessive in my opinion (especially when compared to other competitors products."

The reply the member received from a TW rep.

"No, the Turtle Wax Rinse Free Wash & Wax is not available in a gallon size.

The dilution ratio is the recommended amount for a midsize vehicle with an average amount of dirt. The ratio can be altered to accomplish the work required. Some may use 1 to 2 ounces for compact cars that just got rained on. While others have even used it as concentrated form. Just keep in mind that the polymers in the formula is what’s maintaining the lubricity. This prevents the vehicle’s finish from scratching.

Since I don't have an AA, I was at wally world last night and picked up 2 of them. They were 6 and change ea. Still if you make a gallon of detail spray, its cheaper than the stuff on the shelf.

For sure, 1 bottle makes a gallon of QD and it works very well in that capacity too!

FYI, this is still on BOGO at Advanced Auto. Just picked up two bottles.

BOGO?! Noooo!

I bought a bottle for $8.49 today from my local big box auto parts store!

Aggravating thing is, Advance Auto is directly across the street!

Grrr...

Just buy the TWRW in AA and return one of the full bottles to the big box auto parts and get the money back, then jump again to the AA and buy more TWRW

So today I did my own quick test. I have been driving a body shop loner, Who knows when the last time it was washed was. used the 2 gallons and 4 oz. well It just seemd like not very slick so I added a 5th ounce. Felt the same, So I said lets go! I have to admit, dirty corrola looked a lot better. I cant say great because this car has been hung up wet too many times and the paint still feels like 1000 grit. Then with the same bucket, went over my Camary. Not in sun so im not sure of "gloss" but ill say two cars in 40 min give or take, not too shabby and I didnt look like I went swimming. I told the wife to save me the almost empty 1 gallon milk jug so I can make detailer tonight. I would like a heavier bottle, but it will suffice for now. Going to give some to my father in law so he wont be messing up all the work I did on his bike by dry wiping.

I tried it last night and again today. I seem to be alone but I am underwhelmed. I have only tried DP equivalent but for me TW just isn't as good. Maybe I didn't use enough. Not much lube. Not much slide. Not much anything really.

Its the first one I tried. I just liked washing two cars and not looking like I was swimming. I made a gallon of QD tonight. It woked very nice on my bike. BUT I did not feel any slickness (is that a word?) I tried putting the last of my mothers in it to get the slick it leaves behind,, but not. Still, at 6 bucks a gallon ill use it for qd and ww.

HEY KLASS ACT WHAT ARE YOU PUTTING IN YOUR THAT MAKES IT SLICK?

Well guys as far as slickness goes I can't complain about TW and what it leaves afterwards, its a wash IMO and as long as you've got a good base of sealant/wax down, who cares (I'm sure we've all got a good base of sealant/wax down ayways) I know some of the rinseless' have some type of wax infused into them, like DG for instance, so that could factor in. Keep in mind this their 1st effort, ONR is in its what, 3rd version and now they've got wash and wax, so for those lookin' for more slickness let's see how it goes.

As far as what I add to my QD to make it feel slick its simple, when making a gallon I add 1 oz of Klasse sealant glaze, that's it. When I make a gallon using one of my spare TW rinseless washes though, I'm going to try 2 oz's and see how it goes, just to see.

***Julu 30th is the last day for this BOGO***

I now have 12 bottles, will be on the road tomorrow checking the four stores near me, looking to buy six more plus the six free bottles.
I'm loving it:)

24. Gallons of QD, yeah, I'll take that anyday for what it will cost me.

Well considering TW is a Chicagoland-based company (Willowbrook) your single handedly pumping up our economy, as a citizen of Illinois I thank you!
