Seeing the discussion on one color vs another feeling softer I remembered something. I wish I could remember where, but I've read (and it was backed up by something related to dyes etc.) that lighter color towels will actually be softer than a darker color of the same material. I've no idea if that holds true however.
What kills me about MF towels is the cost, I mean anyone that has looked knows you can order them by the thousands for dimes on the dollar compared to what we are all paying. Any size, any gsm rating, color, texture, dual weave, single weave, you name it. Units that bring $6 ~ $7 (or more) can be had for less than $2 maybe less than $1.50, if you're willing to order say 4000 ~ 6000. (not exact numbers but y'all get the idea) Heck, the 360's can be had in huge lots for a buck or less!
It amazes me that I've not seen a 'group buy' here for such thing. (
Don't wanna' break any rules btw) I've seen group buys on tons of stuff that you would use in say a home theater. Stuff like speakers and wiring, (which have 80% ~100% markups), mid-line and even higher end projectors (which have
maybe 30%~40% markups). On car forums we've seen wheels, intakes, plenums, headers and cat back systems, not to mention things like body kits. Just seems like a natural progression, but whadda I know. :dunno: I bet if say there were some nice, heavyweight towels in the 360, 460, 530 range that had a price in the $1.50 ~ $2 range with a minimum say 50 towel per lot order that us AG'ers would snap up thousands upon thousands in a hurry. Imagine opening a 100 towel or 200 towel order and just rolling around in them!?!?! Gotta' admit, it'd be pretty darned cool.

(In a Twilight Zone kind of way.)
I now return you to your previous channel.... dream state has been suspended.
