Rupes 21 with 5"Bp.

im itching to try my 21... but i want to sell that one and keep the 15 lol....

So Mark... u selling ur rupes, yet u dont like the flex.... what r u gonna use!??!?
I sold the Rupes. I've scaled down my detailing services, don't have the time with my main job. My HD Random Orbital is great, tons of power!

I don't mind that you would use the "21-polisher" a little bit...
(ex: One vehicle panel...about the size of a Crosley right-front fender)...
and then sell it to me at a reasonable loss.

:D

Bob

NOTE:
I don't need any pads/polishes...RUPES, or otherwise.

Hey guys, does the RUPES come with the appropriate backing plate or is it purchased separate?

Mark, didn't you find the Rupes to be much smoother (vibration) than the HD RO?

I agree with ya five point.o, the flex is a freight train, I'm for sure getting rid of mine, I love the rupes but my Cyclo is still my go to tool. can't believe people were bashing you brother, that flex is like fighting off wild tigers lol

It's not a bad machine, don't get me wrong. However, MF pads do not work well with it, and that's where the best correction is at, IMO. The forced rotation makes it hard to control. Not to say I can't control it, I just prefer a a traditional DA type polisher. I can get better correction AND finish with my HD polisher and a MF pad compared to anything I've ever tried with the 3401.
Mark, Ive had great luck with the LC MF pads on my 3401. Did you try them?

My flex also has become a dust collector as well, not sure what I'm going to do with it as I like the rupes and Cyclo, they are so much easier to use, and they are so smooth to operate.
I love my Cyclo and after much practice, I love my 3401 too. It has a steep learning curve evencompared to a full size rotary. I have 3 rotaries and the Flex, Cyclo,New Griots V3, the Megs and the 3" GG too. I need a new machine like a hole in the head. That being said, I will probably get the RUPES too.

I haven't, but suspect they wouldn't be much different than the others. Mechanically, the forced rotation just don't bode well with MF pads, generally speaking. JMO. ;)

I used It once, ordered the 4' backing plate, 6 6.5 inch flat lake country pads, 2 orange, 1 blue, 1 red, 1 white, 1 black. Also bought 6 6.5 kompressor pads, 2 yellow, 1 gold, 1 crimson, 1 black, 1 orange. Everything is brand spanking new, and I still hate the thing and thats why its all up for sale. we shall see if I get any messages. Shine on my brothers.

If you have the itch to buy stuff online, you can always buy the Rupes 15 and have it sent to me
