Water hose stuck under tires?

I use the yellow hose blockers & they're great!
Easy to position, stay where they should & easy to clean afterwards...

Sorry to bother you guys, but what are hose blockers? Does AG
Have them??

Thnx

It's plastic things that go in front of each tire so it doesn't get caught on the tire. I think AG sells them.

Years ago, when I was still doing weekend paint work, we'd wedge an old brake shoe under the tire. It worked great and was free.

I never have had a problem with hose blockers. If placed properly, they dont move at all IME.
The Hose Blocker
These work great for me!

They are a necessity when power cords are in play too! Trick is to apply diagonnally on outer edge of tire.

Go to YouTube and see this:

Junkman's 2-Bucket Wash Technique - Part 2

At 6 minutes into the video. Don't worry you can thank me later. LOL

Can anyone identify by name the tool used in this Junkman
Youtube - Part 2 that was used to spray the undercarriage by
the wheel wells? Junkman doesn't mention what it is.

Thanks much!

Can you provide a link?

GREAT IDEA!

Bet that will 'stop' the hose from getting stuck.

Thanx Bill...

Late to the party here. That device can be found here. It's worthless for how it was designed to be used but great for other uses.

The way I've always done it is just pull plenty of slack towards me, and swing wide when I walk around the corner of the car. It gets pulled under the tire from you trying to pull the hose towards you around the corner, so having plenty of slack from the get-go will prevent this without any gadgets.

Of course, we all love a good gadget! :xyxthumbs:

Last I looked they were 10 bucks at Wal-Mart. You can probably find one at a garage sale for nothing.

from my Dell Streak using AG Online

runrun411 directed the OP to what I do. I place a 5-gallon bucket full of water at each corner of the car and as I go around the car, I allow the hose to wrap around the buckets. The buckets then "feed" the hose around the corners of the car as I work and they also keep the hose from getting close enough to the car to whip up and scratch it, which is what can happen when you try and yank the hose wide of the car.

Cost. Nothing if you have some buckets.

in my opinion, it takes less time and effort to pull extra hose length towards you to avoid the issue in the first place than it itakes to fill up 4 buckets, position them, then empty, dry and put them away when you're finished. Same with positioning those tire hose guard things.

Thats a neat idea. I think autogeek sells something similar to what your talking about for that.

I dont wash my car conventionally anymore unless I have to (really dirty) which is rare. ONR all the way :)

ONR is my favorite product! :xyxthumbs:

In my opinion, it's a lot easier to have the hose whip up into the car and cause a scratch than it is to set up some buckets, especially when two of the buckets can be your wash and rinse buckets. If it takes you that long to pour water out of a bucket then you may need instructions. Also, you don't have to dry the buckets. They do that own their own, and they do it pretty fast in the summer time.
