Nanoskin Autoscrub Speedy Prep Sponge

A huge fan of your videos! Thanks for your review of this. I had no idea something like this was out and it will DEFINITELY be on my next order :)

I do have a quick question (if anyone could answer for me), how often do you rinse the skin? After each section? And is it in just a water/soap solution?

Thank you I appreciate that! Now the product reviewed and the product in my video posted in this thread are different. Just wanted to make sure that was clear.

I rinsed it very frequently, about every 2 to 4 feet by 2 feet. I dunked it in ONR (leftover from my wash) and rubbed the face against my glove.

I used that ONR for the purpose of rinsing it and still had a dedicated clay lube though.

Thanks again for the nice words :props:

Did you notice any suction/dragging with this sponge compared to the opti eraser?

My question is, which nanoskin product is the best. I bought the autoscrub da pad which I think is 6" and I didn't like it. Seemed to take forever and I still had to clay it afterwards because the plasti bag test revealed a lot of contamination left. I was very disappointed but maybe I wasn't using the right technique. It said slow speed and light pressure so I'm not sure what I could have been doing wrong but with that big pad it kept wanting to stop the rotation. I wish I would have just gotten the mitt or the sponge or the towel. I'm ready to try one of the others since I don't like buying clay over and over and worrying about dropping it.

Buy yourself a hand strap and use the 6" pad with car shampoo as lube. This is what I do and it's GREAT!!!! You can also use regular clay lube as well. I never thought of using it with a DA, kind of a stupid idea to me.

Those things overtime will cause marring. I have the nanoskin sponge and the CG Clayblock and after several uses they start to leave marring marks and black streaks of gunk on the paint. Now I dunno if its really that cost efficient vs. clay.

I use the handstrap with the 6" pad and shampoo as lube. AWESOME!! It does marr the paint, but I always polish afterwards.

i have also been undecided but not anymore, thanks for the post. I sure hate when i drop that darn clay, nano skin it is.....in my area they don't no anything about nano scrub....smh!

" in my area they don't no anything about nano scrub....smh! "

What country would that grammar originate from??

Just added it to the cart based on your review, thanks!

The Nanoskin mitt with bubble bath is awesome. I can "clay" a car in 10 minutes. I go back and wash with regular mitt but you probably could get by without it. I have not noticed any marring including a black BMW.

I know this thread is almost a year old but I've got a question..

How long does this sponge last? And any idea about the autoscrub towel?

Thank you!

I bought the 2 pack of sponges, fine and medium. I'm still a little apprehensive to use them until I see a review like yours but on paint that is moderately contaminated. I assume your paint had very little because you keep it up and it's opticoated?

Hey Boudin. Its awhile since you posted this and I wanted to ask.. does the fine and medium make a significant different for different paints? In most reviews I see people using the blue sponge instead of the red. What is your say?
