Griots 3" ..Not satisfied

I have one myself and use an Optimum mf pad on it w/o a problem and ofcoarse use speed setting #6. I use it on tight bumper spots, head and tailights and mirrors w/o a problem. I know its not the strongest machine out there but then again its a 3" machine, maybe Griot's should look at upgrading the motor to direct injection and turbo, LOL!

When I tried it I found the GG3 wasn't lacking power at all. For intricate areas its great.

Of course the RUPES is much better but it needs a big compressor and it's more $$$.

I'd put on some cyclo brushes or the DD über upholstery brush. Works awesome on tires, carpet, and seats.

I got my GG3 on sale for $79 (I'm frugal). It has served me well detailing my motorcycle (perfect for this) and small area on my wife's car. I have also done headlights. If it ever fails to perform back to GG it goes. A big + for me is GG's great customer service.

Thank you.

Is there a specific bp you have to use? One that's made specific for the gg da?

The gg6 is awkward with a 3" bp and 3" pads. I'm not saying it won't work, but the shroud on the gg6 overhangs the 3"bp and pad so it's kind of odd. The smallest I go with my gg6 is a 3.5" bp with 4" pads and that works great.

The gg3 isn't a correction horse by any means, however, it works great for its intended purpose: small, tight areas that are hard to reach. It's design enables you to work the machine into areas that the design of the gg6 just won't allow. Put it on speed 6 with some low profile pads and you'll be pleased.

Can I ask why people don't do this? And instead by the 3" gg

The overall machine is much smaller than the others, thus allowing you to stick it in small spaces that otherwise a bigger machine would not fit into.

The 3" GG machine works best of speed setting #6 and using a mf pad. The 6" GG isn't designed to use such a small bp and pad, why would you wanna do that???

LOL, yeah, I woulda been pissed if I paid for mine. I actually did, then returned it for a refund(through Griot's).

No questions asked I bet and if they did it was still no problem. To this day, they've got the best customer service I've ever dealt with !

No questions asked. Very good CS from Griot's! :dblthumb2:

I grabbed mine today for waxing.....it worked AWESOME! The 3" is the perfect size for waxing anyway.
