Those who use OPC as an interior cleaner, question...

OPC and any other APC can damage leather that has been re-dye.
I try to use a white or light colored MF for that reason. Any color transfer (besides dirt) means proceed with caution.

Dealers are notorious or re-dyeing faded or crack leather.

The most gentle interior cleaner that actually has amazing cleaning power is Ultima Interior Shampoo.

According to Chemical Guys they told me directly, you just dilute it correctly for interior and then clean and let it air dry.

No matter what APC you use it's best to follow with a damp microfiber.

The sales people who work at CG are beyond stupid. I'm normally a nice guy, but they suck and are really misinformed/ignorant.

Thank you, I will tread lightly from now on.

a MF damp from water? To pick up any left over APC?

I read good things about CG All Clean+

:dblthumb2:

I specialize on Automotive Paint,
But I like the fact however that I would be able to provide interior, door jams, wheels. Etc..., not as detailed as you guys, but it will be an option that I could provide.

Little by little my arsenal keeps getting bigger haha

Has it ever damaged anything(leather, plastic, etc..)? This is the only APC I would even consider using on interiors.

I have been using OPC diluted at 6/1 on interior surfaces for four years now without a problem. Knock on wood.

I spray OPC onto a horse hair brush or microfiber towel and then begin to clean. After a good cleaning with OPC I like to make a few passes with the steam cleaner to remove any remaining product/dirt.

May I ask what specifically made you dislike them?

The sales people don't know the differences between their own products. People on this forum could school most of the sales people on their own products.

Not saying that their products aren't good, just that when you need information, go to forums, not them.

Yes I do believe that is true.
I like going on forums and calling them directly to get a combination of information then click "buy now" lol

I dilute Alien Kleen 4:1 when cleaning the interior bits just to be on the safe side.

Sent from my SPH-M930 using AG Online

Hi Mark...

So far I've never bought, let alone used, any OPC...
No comments, then, on its "performance".

However...
I use Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer with excellent results.
LeatherMasters: When/where appropriate.

:)

Bob!!! :D

I actually have QID and use it for my car. Considering my interior is always well maintained, QID does a fantastic job. However, I do not care for the smell at all. CG Inner Clean does all the same as QID, but smells a lot better.

The OPC question was for clients interiors that are much dirtier.
