OK!
It sounds like you were spot on with everything so not it's time to go through the process step by step until things improve.
- Pick a panel that you've identified holograms.
- Mount a clean white pad and prime it with Meguiar's M205
- Keep the speed setting on 5
- Work the area moving no faster than 1/2" / second
- Work no larger than an 18" X 18" section
- Perform at least 3 to 4 passes
- Wash the area with soapy water and rinse.
- Dry the area with air then inspect using the same light.
Make certain the backing plate continues to rotate at all times.
If this doesn't correct the holograms then step it up using Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover and a White pad repeating the steps above. What we're trying to do is determine what level of aggressiveness you need to use to remove the defect then finish polish the area.
Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover - will remove 2000 grit marks
Meguiar's M205 - will remove 2500 grit marks
