I finished up this detail yesterday. They went a silver package detail and it was in desperate need of some attention. The paint was pretty hammered with a lot of defects that were way too deep for a one step polish. The tires needed to be hit 2 times because of the amount of the dirt on them and the interior had a fair amount of stains. It took me about 9 hours from start to finish.

For the products used:
-Washed with CG Wash and Gloss at stripping ration
-Tires, wheel wells, and engine bay were cleaned with Megs Super Degreaser
-Rims were cleaned with Poor Boy's Spray and Rinse
-Used the Speedy Prep medium grade towel
-Car was polished with Flex 3401 with Menzerna PF-2500 on a orange Lake Country hybrid pad
-Wipe down with IPA solution
-Sealed with Menzerna Power Lock
-Interior was cleaned with Megs APC+ at 10:1
-Carpets were cleaned with CG Fabric Clean
-Interior dressed with Car Pro PERL
-Interior windows were hit with Megs Window Cleaner
-Exterior windows got Pinnacle Glass Cleaner with Water Repellent
-Tires were hit with PB Bnb
-Wheel wells got CG Bare Bones
-Final wipe down was with Pinnacle Waterless Wash with Carnuaba

The ugly befores

Nice work! That thing was pretty neglected. The interior was nasty!

Great job going through it and putting some shine back in its life.

You really earned your keep on that one! Knocking it out in one day had to be tough.

MUCH better! :props:

A little constructive criticism. You had some "before" halogen pics. It would have been cool to see some 50/50 pics to show the actual correction. However, I know you were strapped for time. How in the world did you do all that in 9 hours?????

Looks great! Was in bad shape beforehand, nice work!

Thanks!

Thanks. I felt pretty dirty when I finished the interior portion of that detail.

Thanks. I broke it up into 2 days.

Thanks. I am moving when I detail because I have one boy at the sitters while the other is at school so the quicker I get it done the less I have to pay for him to get watched.

About those 50/50's. I forgot to post them lol. Here they are

50/50. Notice the change in the overall appearance in the color of the paint

Still some defects but they were too deep and I wasn't going to spend the extra time to correct them to stay in the black on this detail

Great job. I own that same body style Equinox and that owner should be ashamed. It is not a hard vehicle to maintain, not a whole lot of interior nooks and crannies to deal with. At the same time, people like this keep us busy.
Looks awesome, hope they were impressed.

Thanks. The interior is basically the same size as a sedan so it wasn't bad. She kept saying "Wow" the whole time so I think she liked it.

At least there was some pennies stuck to the carpet for a tip :)

Black looks so much better shiny than swirly!

Nice job, great transformation. I especially love all the Buckeye memorbilia and reflections. Go Bucks...
Formally from Wauseon, OH. So know how harsh the winters and springs can be on vechiles.
