On the "tats", about all I could add to that is different strokes for different folks. Art, is that you and the ol' lady? Of course it doesn't matter, as the comment I would add is I can admire the art as what it is. Along with the considerable effort (not to mention expense) that went along with it.:xyxthumbs:
Although I am still not a fan. Can't help but think of what that turns into when your 50, 60.... EIGHTY!!!

Yikes!
Still, ink has it's place, (as does other body art) and in the professional work place you always A-L-W-A-Y-S have to be aware of how your customers (or potential customers) would view (literally) the ink (or art as it really is art). Many see it as a demerit so to speak. Doesn't mean anything, but doesn't mean they don't see it that way. Same people can see a "pinch" of tobacco the same way, (especially if the guy is standing there with a half full can or drink bottle full of spit while he's talking to you).

Same thing for foul language in the work place.
All three of the above are just examples of things that the general public may pick up on yet would be something you could see from vastly different walks of life. Like in my area we have more than our share of redneck kids that think it's oh so cool to 'spit' while they frown on smoking. Would have to wonder why they find one acceptable yet can't stand the other.
Then again, there are plenty of Tattoo Parlors as well. Me, I'd get the 2nd amendment across both of my forearms in a heartbeat if my wife wouldn't have a COW over it! And another one that is personal between me and my daughter, with her having one to match. But that's just me.
Just goes to show ya'... can't make all the people happy all the time. Bottom line, it is your WORK that shows who you are. I'd like to say if your customers can't get over their own ideas of what is acceptable and what isn't that it'd be OK to tell them to take a hike but then who am I fooling! :dunno:
