I recently did the Deluxe Interior Package to a 2001 BMW 525i. It really had a lot of potato chips crushed up and "sprinkled" on pretty much every surface. My camera ran out of battery life unfortunately so I only snapped a few pics but one set was very clear at giving you an idea of what took place. This is the door panel before:


Then I used OPC at diluted at 3:1 and lightly pre soaked the panel and hit it with my Mytee.



I steamed it with my detail nozzle then just wiped with a yellow microfiber and it came out like this.




AMAZING!

If you're on the fence about a steam cleaner I hope this helps you decide. Also here is a pic of some delicious potato chips stuck in every crevice in America.

I just ordered the VC4000 should be here in the next day or so can't wait to test it out
 
So tragic! I get it that people like this are good for business but.....It's hard to comprehend this when you are an avid detailer.
 
Nice Job! Ill be saving up for one of these machines.

I was checking your particular steamer out and they show a couple pictures of it being used on the paint of the car. Do you use it for that or just for interior purposes? How much has your process of detailing the interior changed since getting the steamer? I am very interested in getting one of these...

OPC = Optimum Power Clean.

I have never used it on exterior paint and i'm not sure if I ever will. I like sticking to my usual chemical-based process for doing exterior work. I have done door jambs though and it blasted all the crud out of the hinges and hard to reach spots no problem. My interior process got a lot easier since getting a steamer. Just spray your cleaner of choice(granted it's safe for interior materials), let it dwell and penetrate, then steam the heck out of it. Wipe with a fresh microfiber after and you're done. Sometimes you have to still agitate some really stubborn stains or spots with a soft brush but no biggie. My favorite thing about steam though is that it sanitizes and kills bacteria. Odor killing chemicals are almost useless after so it saves a lot of money and time.

Great job! I actually love doing jobs like this. When a high quality car is really dirty and not actually damaged it can really showcase your abilities.

Well sorta. You can adjust the pressure of the steam and that's it. Lots of different attachments, though. Something for everything.
 
how long does a tank fill last? Can you finish a car with one "load"?
 
One tank will last about 50 minutes of straight steam. It is plenty to do one car.

Man this makes me miss having access to the desiderio steamer at my old work. Made it so much easier to clean the interior and carpets.
