Durability update on ProtoWax 31 -> Almost a month later it's still going strong -> you'll notice a huge drop off in the distance of the photo -> that is the tape line for the 50/50 of the wax

Original

1 Month later -> also keep in mind this is 13 ProtoWax versions old!

A couple more shots of ProtoWax 43 in action

The Great Wall of Carnauba anyone?

ProtoWax 43 applied by brandon and brian

User submitted photo of Son1c Wax ProtoWax 38 beading, we are also testing it's performance on glass as a Rain-X type product -> this is not a main goal but why not use the product for all that it's worth!

and paint

I have more media but I will follow up on that with Update 18

Nice updates again ! Like this stack of carnauba mate ! Only that must cost a fortune .

i officially think this thread should have a warning:

Lol to me that just means youre accomplishing what you intended!

IM INTO IT!

now keep on with those 80-100hr wax work weeks Drew... youre comin toward that last turn before the finish line

:righton:

Hey Son1c, it's me Allen! It actually works as Rain-X, well better than Rain-X and other products that I use. No streaks, fogginess and other crap. Just slides right off, crystal clear.

Update 18

Due to recent feedback I went back and revitalized an older brew, and attempted to improve upon that strand as well, well I'll let the pictures speak for themselves and will update on durability as it proceeds..

Wax Finger Print if you will..

I was ecstatic with these results, applied on steaming hot panels in direct sunlight, let cure for ~ 5 minutes ~80-90 degrees kind of humid, depth enhanced, flakes are popping almost out of the paint, reflective, yet still maintaining a warm glow -> I've been aiming to create a high quality carnauba that performs very well in every category as opposed to just a few, tight uniform beads, sheets very well, will be pouring some more to sample out

Either or, as long as its a kick a$$ product and meets all of your specifications.

Kinda something to be said for the oldschool paste wax, yet i prefer the ease of 845!

So either is good.

Great work, as always
Thank you sir :D
wow the finish is so clear on the passengers side door on the black eclipse you can see the orange peel in the reflection!

:urtheman: S O N 1 C!
haha proper prep and a quality LSP! :buffing:
Very nice my man! What are your goals with this wax as far as marketing? Are you trying to get it widely known/available as compared to dodo or some of the other hand made uk waxes?
I aspire to make quality products available globally, one can dream!
I know how tough building something that you believe in can be, especially if people with less fortitude than you are saying it's crazy or you'll never do it. Anything I can do to support you I will.

The guy with the Cobra Terminator woke up early this morning, all ready to hit the road and looked outside to see rain. The poor guy's getting frustrated. We'll get it up here one of these days.

I'd really like to make the next meet. It'd really be cool if I could find a sitter for Colt so I can engage in the actual turnaround and get a little deeper into the Rupes Team.
Your success story was truly inspiring Dave and I appreciate the support! I've encountered many of the negatives in my endeavors and always strive to turn that into positive fuel.
Why is he so afraid of the rain? nothing a little detailing can't take of! :buffing: Looking forward to the results when he does make it out
I'm sure I could find one local to me, he's a great boy I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't want to watch him haha, better make it out to the next event!

I said that Eclipse looked fantastic as those clouds were rolling in right before I left. Those shots you got of it under those trees are simply stunning!!
thank you dave! :dblthumb2:
Sick, Drew. Im impressed. Truly. The pics are stunning.

Waiting for my sample pot haha!

Keep up the hard work - your dedication is showing though!

Sent from my VS840 4G using AG Online
thank you steve, pick your poison we're up to 45 now!
I appreciate the support :D
gotta admit, ima bit jealous of all you VA guys who met up with drew and test his prototype #43.

My bro lives in fairfax, i should have made him shake his a$$ over there to get me a ninja sample..

should get him out to the next meet! more sample tins are in so hopefully I can get some more samples spread out!
That black mustang looks amazing, great work
thank you :)
Those vehix look great! It's awesome to see how you have evolved the product. Works great on hot panels, awesome.!!!
thanks j cubed and I know you've watched this from ~day 1! Like I said from the beginning that was a big goal from day one! :D

Nice updates again ! Like this stack of carnauba mate ! Only that must cost a fortune .
thank you, you have to pay to play!

haha thanks! glad you're enjoying it in more ways than one!

Hey Allen! Glad it's treating you well, I better be seeing you at the next event as well :D Make sure to check out the NoVA Detail Day Video I posted as you and your vehicle make several appearances!

diggin the results on that red truck, is it possible you found the hidden recipe for how to make FUZION?!

and that #38 looks like a blue zymol glasur

just curious if you don't mind me asking, how much does a pack of the t1 wax cost you? and how 8oz tubs can you make from a whole pack?

how much does it cost to make a batch (8oz) of your own wax?

*not sure if some of these questions are "secrets" so feel free not to answer if you feel that way, I won't be offended

That would look GREAT on my truck! Nice work sonic!!

haha possibly!
do you have an open pot picture of zymol glasur?
t1 carnauba is relatively inexpensive, can't comment on batch prices and ratios -- this is also constantly changing as well
wow, crazy you should say that...... i was doing extensive research on this wax earlier today...

MAYBE this is Drew's next head to head comparison..... Son1c #38 v Zymol Glasur :dblthumb2:
unfortunately I don't have any zymol waxes -- only a sample of carbon
That would look GREAT on my truck! Nice work sonic!!
