Favorite "local" autoparts store wax?

If you have a carquest parts close to you they sell Duragloss products. I really like their sealants.
Another popular chain nearby sells collinite 845

There is a shop within walking distance that sells Megs #20, and #26.

Can you overdose on megs ultimate? As in you can't really wax too much using a nuba blend wax but what about that wax being a synthetic sealant

It can be layered. Just put on nice thin coats. I have a client that travels a lot and I put 2 coats of ultimate paste wax on her front bumper and months later it stills beads like crazy and the bugs come right off.

Holy crap they're gouging you on the price IMO. See if you have a harbor freight near by. They used to sell 845 and the other kind (416? Its the paste kind) for 8 to 12 bucks. I'm gonna check to see if theres a carquest nearby. When I lived in Reno and had a Summit racing near by I used to be able to pick up Adams Buttery Wax. While I hate how it applied I loved the way it looks and i believe it was a 'nuba.

I have and/or have used Mothers Carnauba Step 3 Paste and Mothers Reflections Car Wax and Top Coat. I would gravitate towards Mothers in an instant.

The Reflections line is a hybrid of synthetics and carnauba. If I didn't have 845 or 915, I would use Reflections.

Where have you found Reflections OTC? please advise. :)

What types of waxes dont stick to black trims? Im guessing its the synthetic ones right?

Meguiar's Ultimate Wax- LIQUID...not paste. No staining, in fact I use it for the trim along with the body.

1) Carquest: DuraGloss 105 (sealant)
2) Walmart: Meg's Ultimate Wax (liquid)....VERY underrated

But thats not a carnuba wax. I like 'nubas because they hide quiet a few imperfections I have on my paint.

AutoGlym High Definition Wax. It's a bit on the pricier side for auto parts stores but look super and conceals a good amount of swirls too. Last I knew it could be purchased at Pep Boys.

I was thinking, what if I need something fast and local? What do you guys use thats locally found at major chains/store? I know about the Meguiars ultimate wax, but thats ( from what Ive read ) more of a sealant then wax. Im looking for a carnuba wax mainly.. Ive read a lot about Surf City Barrier Reef ( liquid and paste )

With all the sales at Autogeek, and all of the products to try out, how can you ever not have wax and sealant on the shelf

I recently tried the Surf City Barrier Reef liquid wax. It wasn't bad. Didn't bead up like I thought it would. I was looking for the Zymol/Collinite beading. It was more like Gold Class. It's pretty slick, and looks good. I have the paste version, but have yet to try it.

Back in the day I used to like Mother's Pure Carnauba Wax Paste.

I have used Meg's ultimate wax, nxt 2.0 and have recently picked up #26 to try on the next car I detail.

Black Magic is pretty good. It's a little hard to buff off, but it actually lasts a pretty long time.

My thoughts exactly. Was too hard to buff off for my tastes. I even tried buffing it different ways and it was always difficult.
