Favorite "local" autoparts store wax?

My thoughts exactly. Was too hard to buff off for my tastes. I even tried buffing it different ways and it was always difficult.

Yeah but for about $6 a bottle, it produces a nice shine, it just never hazes which makes it hard to remove.

Meg's NXT liquid. Paste is too difficult to work with IMO.
I also like Mother's reflections.
I have seen Collinite from time to time which would be my choice.

Just order some Collinite 476s and call it a day. Then you can spend your time topping (if you want)

I go to the one in Bel Air. Reflections Car Wax & Reflections Top Coat are both nice.
A nice side benefit of Reflections Car Wax is that it smells like men's cologne. So if your wife stinks up the house with flowery smelling candles or sprays, at least the garage will smell manly.

meg's ultimate wax is a highly underrated product. works very good,doesn't stain trim and has agood durability.
I've done a review ones about TW ICE liquid polish/wax. Leaves a very nice shine, but durability is very crappy ( rainy weather about 1 week), beading is not that good and it's a pain to apply as it's like a watery stuf you apply and it never hazes...

Have you thought about Meguiars Dark wax / White wax?

Megs Ultimate Paste wax is my personal favorite OTC. I will agree that Gold Class is easy to apply, but I have not found much durability with it. Now both Ultimate Liquid and Paste, I have found surprisingly good durability. The best part of the Ultimate waxes is is being able to use UQD and UQW and not change the look of your LSP.

My most favorite OTC wax is long gone- Classic Slipstream.

Until I joined up here a few years ago, everything I ever bought was OTC or from a local dealer detail supplier. My local hardware store carried most of the Collinite line, but I passed over it for 30 years, since I had never heard of the stuff and wouldn't trust anything I hadn't seen in any of my car mags. At least I had enough sense to pick Meguiar's and Mothers over Turtle Wax, Nu Finish And Armorall.

My local autoparts store is AutoBarn. They've begun carrying Collinite, P21s, and Sonax. I suppose there might be a fave if I ever get around to trying. I still use and love a can of Mothers Pure Carnauba I bought there in 1996. Until I melted and re-poured it, it was just a can of rattling chunks. Applied a thin coat on the 4th. Easy on, easy off. Great stuff.

My favorite wax that's available to me OTC is Meg's 26 in liquid form. I've been using it for almost 10 years, it looks great and makes the paint feel like butter. That being said, I haven't used it as much lately since I'm currently hooked on the BFWD/BFMS combo.

Use it on the stores van seems to hold up for a coiple of washes. I use it when drying van off.

If you have a carquest parts close to you they sell Duragloss products. I really like their sealants.

Been ordering 901 online without ever realizing the Carquest down the street has it. Thanks for the protip!

I'm very fortunate to be able to buy Collinite 476 and 845 at Frank's Auto Parts just a mile from my home, although one tin of 476 should last the remainder of my life.
