Im not tryin to blow up the boards or knock anything.... this is simply a valid question ive had for a long time now... I just didnt want to be accused of starting a "hater" thread.

Let it be known Im not taking ANYWAY away from GD's techniques and insights on detailing at all.

Im just questioning this product: Infinte Use Detail Juice.
It defies most all logic we know as car professionals and enthusiiats.

In ALL SERIOUSNESS: how can one product effectively be used for a QD, quick wax, tire dressing, dress leather and light carpet cleaner?

ALL of these applications have completely different needs. Thus different products have been made by countless companies with SPECIFIC formulations.

Im all for trying to maximize a product to fill multiple needs but this product seems to be one of those end user consumer products that claims to do everything but does a few things well. How many products have we all we seen on infomercials that have a new craze phase, yet when you use them for everything they never live up to the tried and true products for DEDICATED applications.

How on earth can something that has a strong enough detergent for carpet duty be perscribed as an LSP to leather or as a QW withouth stripping everything below it? Detergents dont protect, no matter if you combine polymers with them, they are designed to clean and strip.

That's a major misquote on your behalf. I never claimed any such thing in any of my videos. As a matter of fact, the main thing I use detail spray for is claying, spritzing pads, removing stubborn polish and loosening up bird poop. That's pretty much all I do with detail spray. MY CLAIM is that you get a ton of product for the money spent. You need to go back and watch that video.

The dilution ratio of this to make a detail spray is great IMO. I have have not used it as much yet as I'm trying to use up all me final inspection first but I have been very impressed with this product.

I have done a few GDWM with the juice and the gloss that it leaves behind is very impressive.

I had bought the 32oz so that in turn makes 12.8 gals of product
Which come to a little 5 bucks a gallon compared to m34 which is 30 bucks a gallon.

Yea, I would never make all those claims.I only use it for the things I mentioned above. I often get misquoted on detailing boards so I have to make the rounds and clean up some of the bum scoop that arises from time to time. :cool:
 
Gary Dean seems to have a lot of knowledge. I'd like him to participate on AGO like JunkMan does. To see what he has to say.

Of course he may have his reasons why he does or doesn't.

I need to go order your DVD Junkman ;)

For those of you using Ultimate Juice, in my mind I would put it side by side with Optimum Wash and Wax concentrate. Am I wrong? They seems to have the same strenght based on amount used for dilution.

He has a video on it. Tires looked great. Use it undiluted for a tire dressing. He also has a tire gel which is obviously specifically for that, but IUDJ can be used in a pinch.

I saw that vid and questioned him about it and he admitted it was on only a few day's with no rain.
 
GD was pretty tight with Ultima. I remember watching him doing product reviews of their products at their warehouse. It wouldn't surprise me if it is a relabeled Ultima product...maybe some minor tweeks

private labeling is very popular in this industry. i'm not commenting on this particular product, i'm just saying it happens a lot.

Right...I'm saying it is or isn't. I don't know...just wouldn't surprise me because of the exact reasons you mentioned. Nothing wrong with a guy trying to make a few extra bucks...
