Best Waterless Wash?

Maybe I shouldn't automatically shy away from the WWs with Carnuba in them just because of the streaking issues I've had with Ecosmart. I may just get a bottle of each concentrate (Pinnacle & Ultima) and see which one I like better. I'm sure they are both good enough that I will use both of them up, then I can just re-purchase the one I like better when its time to get more.

Thanks guys!

Pinnacle WW is nothing like EcoSmart. EcoSmart has a pile of streaky crap that sits at the bottom of the bottle. Pinnacle has none of that. Forget that Pinnacle has carnauba. Its just a good waterless wash against any.

I tried DP and it was terrible. They may have reformulated it since, I don't know. IIR, DP was one of the first ones, shortly after OptiClean. OptiClean is very good, but priced almost 7x as much as Pinnacle. That means you are paying 7x as much for every 33oz bottle of OptiClean you mix up. No thanks. Also, OptiClean smells bad IMO.

IMO you can forget Griots, Adams, and Poor Boys. To use this stuff right, you need to use it liberally. Unless you like just throwing money away, as none of those are better than UWW+ and Pinnacle, but are priced over 10x as much.

Blackfire as very good as well. Again, ridiculously expensive, as it doesn't have a high dilution. Your paying for a bunch of water.

D115 I've never used. But its another one with a relatively low recommended dilution (to work well).

am i the only person who though to use hyperwash as a ww? I tried it comparing it to onr and chemical guys eco-smart. and i honestly have to say it worked just as good as the other 2 and left no streaking no swirls or scratches and to see how well it worked i even rinsed the car down after and there were no signs of soap being left on the paint. this was on my personal vehicle which is opti-coated if it makes any difference.

that's the standard . there is a reason why these are called waterless and rinseless washes . no need for hose .

Your using a traditional surfactant soap as a rinseless wash? Why would you do that? Why not just use a rinseless designed product?

How are you using soap in a Rinseless? What's the process?

I am really trying hard to like Ultima WW but I just cant see what people are raving about. I am currently comparing it to Opti-Clean and it seems it doesn't have nearly the cleaning ability that Opti-Clean has. When I use it I spray each panel liberally and I have tried using it over a couple different LSPs. It seems to work ok but not something to write home about.

im using it as a waterless wash. ill dilute half a oz to 32oz distilled water. spray on wipe off. obviously with all waterless products they say there made for lubricity which is why i use a low dilution with the hyper which is recommended 400:1. like i stated in my other post ive been using it on my car for 2 or 3 months now. have yet to leave a residue. and like i said before the first time i tried it i rinsed it off after to see if any soap would rinse off and there was very little to none. my process is the same as any waterless spray on wipe off. obviously for very dirty areas ill spray it on heavy let it sit and when i go and wipe i use a different method in those areas ill first wipe a small section with the front of the towel then lift the front up a tad so that dirt isnt grinding into the paint and pick another small section up with the back. imo the results im getting are same as a regular wash or going around a lightly dusty car with a QD. Im sure this method is going to catch a ton of flack. but i polished my car in march and have yet to have another swirl in it or scratch from this method. i live in a apartment with no water hookup and i had a ton of hyper wash on hand and decided to try it. obviously not intended use but i feel it works fairly well. im going to give ultima a try soon i can do a comparison video if your interested.

Hmmm interesting. Hey if it works for you the roll with it. :dblthumb2::dblthumb2:

Just an update: I've used the UWW+ a few times now and I have to say its fantastic! Seems to have more emulsification / cleaning power than the CG's Ecosmart RU, and it buffs off really easy to a high gloss and super slick feel. Haven't tried the Pinnacle yet, so the Ultima is my new favorite for now!

I agree with you. I've tried it once and I wasn't impressed at all especially with the cleaning ability. Plus it seemed as if it streaks on me for some reason.

+1 for Opti Clean too
