Driving behind someone, what frustrates you?

Boy I guess I'm about to step into it about now.

I'm scared to be a passenger out there, no matter who's driving or what's being driven......

Dude, that just ain't right. ;)

I mean, I know my girls (wife and daughter) talk about how nauseous they get as a passenger cruising through the N. Ga mountains. We actually went up apple picking a few weeks ago and carving a few roads of course, and as usual, they complained. And that was before we went "winery touring".

So yes.... I'll move over and let the wife drive sometimes just to show her how much I trust her, LOVE HER, and...... to get her to shut the freak up. :bolt:

C'mon now, ya' gotta' let the girl drive, you just gotta'. :props:

Tell him Kitty!

OTOH, it'd be nice if the leaves were better by next week, but it's just still a bit early.

I hear yah Cardaddy but first and foremost my car has a "man pedal" (sorry Kitty), so she can't drive my car anyways. She's been on some curvy roads with me in the past, Hell Michigan and Starved Rock here in Illinois) bit NOTHING like The Dragon/Cherahola Skyway/Moonshiner Road, that's for sure and she's been fine.

I'll be pulling into the area a week from today, can't wait!

Kinda off topic but involves with transportation..

I typically commute to work via Metra and what gets on my nerves is people who will take a big can of Icehouse onto the train. It's like dude..it's 3:30pm and you just MUST have that shitty beer immediately after work, you can't wait till you get home?

I give those people the death stare lol

What the frig? :p

Actually, I don't advocate sharing your car with anyone... even your spouse. My husband has his toy, and I have mine :dblthumb2:

I guess I was saying drop her off somewhere to shop, then go tear some road up :coolgleam:

+1.

Nah, she likes the curvy road driving, doesn't bother her one bit, actually years ago we were doing 155 mph in a Mazdaspeed 3 chasing down an EVO here on a Chicagoland freeway and I can tell you this, I was sitting behind my buddy and left nail marks in the headrest, my future wife had NO issues with it. A little side note, there was my buddy and his wife, myself and my future wife and their daughter in the car....CRAZY I know:-P

I was stuck behind someone doing 10 miles UNDER the speed limit the entire drive to work

To top it off, they were one of those drivers who braked every time there was a turn in the road, no matter how slight it was.

once again, cell phones! i still see people everyday using them while driving and the 1st offense if caught should be $500 and 1 point on your record in which you need to go to traffic school. get people where it hurts, the wallet. you'll eventually learn at some point and time...

I thought all PA drivers did that:laughing:

Where's the finger smilie?

No, in fact I speed up through turns... Especially if someone is tailing me. I love how I see their car in my rear view mirror go all wonky and suddenly get really small in my mirror. :coolgleam:

The LA woman with her phone in one hand, coffee cup in the other who cannot figure out why her husbands brand new Porsche 911 keeps stalling off the stop light

Sadly, this is true

Too cool.

I was cutting corners on the downhill slopes of the 76 turnpike the other morning...walked away from everyone else when I used the Georgia overdrive method of downhill acceleration.

I guess another thing that frustrates me is, if you are trying to switch the lane and i let you in, i expect you to keep up with the cars in front of you like i did, and not suddently keep your own desired speed limit making the car that i was just behind seem like its a mile away. I often pass these people in a not-so-nice manner. :/

One of my '14 resolutions is to do more "let it go" instead of "reacting" when driving - the 15 or 30 (or whatever) seconds I lose to someone doing something annoying, I've decided, just isn't worth the possibility of being followed / shot / aggravated.

We shall see how that goes...

I definately need this to be my resolution, however when someone is going 55 on the left lane and i am in need of slowing down by 20 or so mph, it's a pet peeve

1. People that have no clue where they are going and have to stop before EVERY road or driveway and refuse to pull over to let others pass!
2. Cops that ride your ass. Reverse the role and you could never legally keep up with them! Most of them don't use blinkers!
3. Last minute lane cutting to avoid missing an offramp.
4. People that are too lazy to clear the snow off their cars!
5. People with paint shinier than mine! :-)

Speed is my main issue as well. Here in Montréal it's getting standard for people to drive at half the speed limit. It annoys the hell out of me.

What has happened to drivers in Quebec?
It used to be you could count on Quebec drivers to drive fast, very fast. Now they hardly seem to travel the speed limit on route 20?
75mph in Quebec makes you the fastest guy on the road, but in New Brunswick at 75mph, you're left behind.
:poke:
