in comparison to the orange 5.5s ive got.. they seem to hardly be rotating and only vibrating.. i tried leaving the weight of the machine to do the work, but it still seemed to slow it down.. perhaps i havent primed my pad with polish properly? Using 106FF by the way
Is it possible to cut my white 6.5" CCS pads and shrink them to around 5.5"? I think their large size has been preventing them from rotating properly on the PC. I also live faraway from anywhere that sells pads and i actually like the 5.5" low profile flat orange pads that came with my CCS kit :)

I was curious myself regarding Optiseal so i checked on the optimum forums' FAQ section:

The carnauba is not removed...
From what I've been reading it seems that VM has cleaning abilities while RMG does a good job in making the paint more reflective and deep. Many seem to see gains in mixing them and using them as a one step glaze..

Ive been reading these forums for a while after doing lots of thorough browsing on autogeek.net, my recent obsession with detailing started around 6 months ago when I was looking forward to buying a solid black Porsche...
After a lot of reading, ive narrowed it down to this process for prepping/maintaining a non-metallic black Cayman S. Thing is I need to order the products (mostly from autogeek and some from pakshak) and have them delivered by a friend before the car is delivered. I thus need to order EVERYTHING...
